I figured I would start the post this week. How did you do this weekend?
Re: How MM was your weekend?
We had a pretty horrible MM weekend. On Friday it got started with the AC guy returning for the 3rd time this spring to redo some duct work that the builder had screwed up- cost $1880. (We had this saved for house repairs, but I wanted to spend it on carpet, so now we are starting back over on the carpet fund, which I'm not too happy about) But hopefully the problem is solved. It rained this weekend, so of course it was cooler and we don't really know if the 2 hot bedrooms are fixed, or if its just because it was cooler.
Friday night we went to an auction and bought a trunk for baby's room for $85.
Saturday was groceries for about $75.
Sunday we didn't leave the house.
In total that was $2035 which is a crazy expensive weekend for us.
Sorry to hear about your AC issues! Hopefully it's fixed for good!
We didn't do great this weekend, either. We are still fixing up the new house:
Friday night: $10 at Tropical Smoothie for dinner (me), $15 on some household things at Walmart. DH went out to dinner with the guys.
Saturday: $25 out to lunch at a cuban restaurant, $145 on paint and supplies. $180 at target for a new vacuum and shower curtain rod and rings.
Sunday: $27 for breakfast, lunch, and dinner items (although we ended up going to IL's for dinner, so I won't have to get dinner tonight). $80 for new blinds for our bedroom.
Total: $302, give or take a few bucks. I am pretty sure I am forgetting something!!
We had an unexpected $200 expense - a rock hit our windshield and it was too large to fix, so the whole thing had to be replaced (thank goodness for the emergency fund)
We spent about $120 over the weekend going to a fair for two days with friends and to lunch on Sunday with friends.
Then I spent $28.73 on groceries for the week (mostly produce and some father's day cards)
All in all, more money than we anticipated due to the windshield, but next weekend we should be able to stay well within our budget.
Could have been worse....

We did okay. I get paid every two weeks so I got paid Friday. I paid the bills that were coming up before the next check, which was about $300.
Friday was $0 because it was my birthday
Saturday - $30 for some basic errands and a coffee.
Sunday - caught up on groceries for $80. Then $20 for gas to hold DH over till he could cash his check.
