  This board has just been really dead since the mass exodus. I'll answer questions too...maybe then some of the lurkers reading the posts will start responding or at least asking questions!!!

  I've seen a lot of military surprise homecomings. It wouldn't work on me. I always have my back to the corner and my face to the door. Looking for terrorists, criminals, various other threats, and husbands.

  With Kids? Disney. Its awesome.

  Be sure to stick around everyone! The Nest is about to launch a new community platform this summer that will make the user experience much easier. The new platform has actually already been launched over on The Knot and it has been getting rave reviews from users.

  Some exciting things to look forward to with the new platform:

  • You can tag fellow Nesties in your posts
  • You will receive notifications (kind of like Facebook) when someone contributes to a discussion you started, when you've been tagged in a post, when you earn a badge, when you have a new private message and more
  • "Badges" will be earned for your positive community contribution
    
  • Private messaging will have some great features too: you can message multiple users in one message and you'll be notified when you have a new message in your inbox.
  • When you create a new thread, you'll have the options to create: a new discussion, a new poll, and a new question (you'll be able to do this without any problems!)
    

  We are very excited about these new features AND the new look of the community! Feel free to message me with any questions you might have.

   
  

  You know, I do come back to these boards even though I'm active on the other. But then, my SN that I've had for years, all of a sudden only works on TN and TB but not TK. It's so frustrating. It's another thing that keeps me elsewhere.

  I usually hangout in the NBC because that board moves sooo much. Plus Im a bookworm. Best way for me to get through my deployments is reading. Im the deploying one - DH is a vet.
