Once Upon a Child

I took a bin of clothes left over from our yard sale to Once Upon a Child.  I've sold to them before, but today when they called to tell me they sorted through my stuff I asked for the quote, and she said, "It's our policy to not give quotes over the phone".

I thought that was strange...um..they're my clothes, and I'll be back in a few hours.  What is the point of this policy?

  • Probably so they don't get reamed out over the phone AND in person when you come back.  I know a lot of people get ticked at the small amount of items they take and the little bit of money they do give for said items.  So it's probably easier to just only give that info once!  :)

This, and so that when people show up in person they don't cause a stink because they supposedly told them a higher amount over the phone.  Policies like this may seem silly, but they are needed to manage the cray-crays!
