Maternity pants

Hi ladies,

well I already have to wear maternity pants because of the dumb OHSS. I went to Target and the only ones they had were the lower belly ones. They're kind of uncomfortable. How tight is too tight? I'm trying to keep them under my belly but it's kind of weird and when they're a little over my belly, they're kind of snug. Thanks.

  • Some people like the lower belly panels and some like the full panel. I couldn't stand having the fabric over my belly until I found one pair at the end that were awesome. I think you just gotta try different brands and styles until you find what fits you right. The lower belly panel pants that I used were from Old Navy and Walmart.com. My full panel pair was from target but they were basically structured sweatpants.

  • I only liked the full panel ones; the under belly ones were not comfortable.

  • If you can find them, real waist maternity pants have been my favorite. I got a pair from Gap and really wish I had bought more, but they're sold out now. They're really nice because they don't have a band, and the waist is adjustable. They are the best thing ever.

i have one pair of Demi panel pants that I like, but the others I have feel too tight, or the band is constantly folding over. I'm also not a huge fant of the full panel pants, but they are becoming more of a necessity as my belly expands. Definitely go someplace that has several styles and try them all on. You may end up liking them.

Ditto the full panel reqs. I actually preferred the ones I got from sears- I forget the brand (2 hearts maybe?) BUT I loved them.

  • I much preferred full panel.  For maternity, there is a much better section online than in-store. So once you have an idea of your size in different brands, check out the online stores.  Target, Old Navy, Gap and Motherhood are some options. My Macy's actually had a pretty good Motherhood selection (but not all Macy's do), and I also had good luck at a Ross once, but I bet that is hit or miss.

If the are uncomfortable, try a different style and/or size.
