Girl's night in/bachelorette ideas

Hi ladies! I'm stumped, and need help!

I'm throwing what's supposed to be a very casual bachelorette type thing for a friend this weekend. I'm not in her wedding party, but a group of us (the girlfriends/wives of a group of friends from college) are all pretty close and we wanted to do a thing for her, since her actual bachelorette from her actual party won't involve us, I think. But, I also didn't want to step on any toes, so it's pretty casual. On top of which, it is also now partially the going-away party for another one of these girls who is breaking up with one of the aforementioned guys, so the night kind of has a weird tone, as you can see, ha, so the idea was to mostly just keep it girl's night in. But I didn't know if I should try to do something? Even if it's just making sure I get some good girl's night in movies or something? Any ideas? Movies, games, activities, anything? Or just get everyone good and drunk? ;)

  • One of my favorite girl's night activities is to drink and play scattergories. The more you have to drink, the funnier your answers! Also the game dirty minds, if you want a little bit of a naughty twist.

  • I second playing some games and drinking. That way, you can keep it low key and casual. I'm not usually a fan of watching movies with a group of ladies, just because it is only really background noise, and I would prefer that to be music.

  • Scattergories is a great idea! I don't own that but can pick it up. I do have Balderdash which is also a good one. And I'm pretty sure I own Apples to Apples which I always like for bawdy nights in. Good call! Why didn't I think of board games? Ha ha.

  • Yeah just get them good and drunk and whip out some board games.  Have you ever seen the game Cards Against Humanity?  It's like Apples to Apples but completely not PC at all!

And if all else fails you can always set up a beer pong table!

  • Games and drinking is the way to go for sure.  I'd maybe try to do something special for the bride and the friend that is going away, just for added fun.

    Have fun!

  • part of my bachelorette party was watching girly movies, drinking alcohol and eating junk food.  We watched My Sassy Girl, Leap Year and The Proposal.  I also like Breakfast at Tiffany's and any wedding movie.
