Dessert Recommendations Needed!
Mason's t-ball picnic is this Saturday and we are bringing dessert.
One kid has a peanut allergy and another kid is gluten free. Any recommendations or dessert ideas that will accommodate this? (We will probably bring more than one dessert for the picnic.)
Re: Dessert Recommendations Needed!
This won't fit the allergy needs, but if you want something else I'd highly recommend this trifle: http://www.skinnytaste.com/2011/06/red-white-and-blueberry-trifle.html
Those are some tough requirements... If I come across something I'll let you know.
This is delicious.
If you want to buy something to fit the allergy issues, I recommend Naturally Soergel's. My sister used to get her roommate desserts there all the time(she is deathly allergic to gluten, like a pizza almost killed her at Christmas allergic).
I made this for mother's day and it was very good:

I know I just saw a good GF recipe the other day and where the heck was it.
Could you look for a gluten free cereal to use in rice crispie treats?
Fruit with chocolate or caramel dip?
The rice krispie treat idea is good. You could use a cookie cutter to make them into shapes if you wanted them to be more "fun". Or use a round cookie cutter, and use some red piping gel and make them look like baseballs.
