Re: QOTD 6/12

  • From what I understand with the phone companies is they are only seeing what numbers you contact.  I'm fine with that if they are only trying to connect terrorists.  I don't care if that's what it is, I have nothing to hide.  I call my parents and H that's it.

I guess I'm used to "big brother" from work.

  • Maybe it's an age thing, but it doesn't bother me. I mean, I don't love it, but I feel like if you've got something to hide, then you should have to work a little harder to hide it, you know? Possibly naive of me, but oh well.

  • I am not sure how I feel about it.  On one hand, I think that it is an invasion of privacy but on the other hand I think that maybe it will help with terrorist attacks, etc.  My biggest problem is the fact that some of the government officials lied about stuff.

  • I have mixed feelings.  You giveaway a small right of privacy, and three more are taken before you know it.  I think it's a slippery slope.

  • i don't mind, but i'm a goody two shoes anyway. I figure the people who care the most have something to hide. even if the government listens to entire phone calls, they would soon get bored of me and my best friend talking about how cute our dogs are, babies, and what annoying things our DH's do. haha. everything (social media etc) can be used to get or lose a job these days anyway.

  • It doesn't bother me too much, just because of the same reasons most of you have listed. I have nothing to hide, and if it really helps the government locate terrorists, etc., then why not? If it is being used in other ways, that's when I have the problem.
