We met with the doctor today to discuss my surgery on Friday morning. They did a second ultrasound to focus on the mass. It goes up from my left ovary all the way to resting just under my rib cage. It goes to the middle of my right rib in length. In comparison, I would maybe describe it as a soccer ball.
Once the mass is removed, they will do a freeze test to quickly see if it is cancerous to determine if further action is necessary before they conclude the surgery. This could result in a worst case scenario, which could be the loss of our baby and a full hysterectomy depending on it's severity.
The doctor has assured me this is a very rare outcome, but we have to be realistic. He said they would only result to this if it were of immediate threat to my life. Otherwise, if it were cancerous but not too progressive, we would conclude the surgery and discuss chemo.
What we expect, hope, and pray to happen is they will remove a non-cancerous mass, place me on medication to prevent preterm labor and I will be home for 8 weeks to work on healing and growing my sweet baby.
Thank you for your kindness and support so far. I can't begin to articulate my fear. I am a loose cannon when it comes to tears and near mental breakdowns this week. If you could send thoughts, prayers and good vibes our way I would be so grateful.

I am so sorry that you are having to face this. I hope that the freeze test shows that it is non-cancerous and you will be able to put all this nastiness behind you quickly.
