"My vessel is magnificent. And fierce. And huge-ish."
Happy Thursday!
Fear the derecho, apparently.
Re: "My vessel is magnificent. And fierce. And huge-ish."
Here's s'more. Quote from any of them.
"It's the bible! You get credit for trying."
"'Ello, Poppet."
"This is a jar of dirt."
"Yes."
"Is the jar of dirt going to help?"
"If you don't want it, give it back."
"No!"
"Then it helps."
I cheated. I've never seen any of 'em even though I think we own them. Oops!
Hi Joy! What's this derecho you've mentioned and why should I fear it?
Any updates on Lois? She didn't check in yesterday and I wonder if it has anything to do with baby.
Not much going on here. I have tomorrow off so I just need to make it through today. I finished my 22 minute run last night and am super proud of myself! Go me! Other than that, I got nothing.
my read shelf:
I think I know the movie(s) you are quoting, but I've only seen parts of the first one, I think. I know I've seen something. H loves these movies and even dvrd the first one so I would watch it.
I think Lois did get admitted. She hasn't posted on our fb group either and she usually responds. So I'm guessing we'll be seeing baby pictures soon-ish.
Congrats on your run, E! You're doing a great job!
I woke up this morning thinking it was Friday.

How are you enjoying running, EEE? Truthfully.
I'm sad others don't know these movies! There are THREE to chose from! My husband and I quote these ones all the time, too. Jack Sparrow rocks.

hehe - yay, kris!
EE - a derecho is (apparently) is a very large mass of thunderstorms that move across a very large region. It also tends to bring heavy winds behind that can be hurricane level in strength. We're supposed to be getting one (or several?) today. Jay and I pulled in our air conditioner from the window because we were concerned.
We are already in the middle of one huge thunderstorm right now. My husband didn't leave for work in time and is trapped at home without bus fare. It's kinda funny, actually. He cobbled together eight quarters and found an umbrella. I hope he makes it!
"But why the RUM!"
Good Morning! I am a aunt again! It is a girl. She was born last night. I haven't meet her but I am hoping we can go at lunch. If not after work for sure.
Joy: It is pouring here as well. As my H would say it nice weather if you are a duck!
E: Wohoo! You go girl!
Lois: Can't wait for the update.
Congrats, degrea!!! What is the little peanut's name?? My husband's cousin just had a baby girl and they named her Betsy. I'm not sure if it's a nickname for Elizabeth or not, but I love Betsy!
"If I may lend a machete to your intellectual thicket..." <- baha
I admit that the end of "At World's End" kinda killed me. The story of Will and Elizabeth just broke my heart.
"It's always belonged to you. Will you keep it safe?"
Just got the go-ahead from Lois to post the update.
From her announcement in our FB group:
Eleanor Jean was born at 10:55pm via c-section after 24+ hours of labor. 6lbs 6oz 20 3/4" long and perfectly gorgeous. I'll post pictures later.

Joy, there are 4 to choose from. I have not seen the last yet.
The "I've got a jar of dirt! I've got a jar of dirt!" was ad libbed by JD.
"I'm not entirely sure I deserved that."
"I'm sure you didn't deserve that one either?" "No, that one I deserved."
"Elizabeth. Things would never have worked out between us"
H and I do movie series marathons, we're on this one right now.
Congrats, Lois!!! I loooove her name.
You are right, Beanie!! There are four!
"Yes, I lied to you. No, I don't love you. Of course it makes you look fat. I've never been to Brussels. It is pronounced ee-gree-gious."
Congrats Lois!
Meridith is her first name. I will find out the middle at lunch when I get to meet her for the first time. So excited!
I have only seen 1 and 2 I think. Some day I will catch up at the rest of them.
Eleanor Jean is a beautiful name! I can't wait to see the cuteness! Congrats Lois!
"You will remember this as the day you almost caught Captain Jack Sparrow!"
"THat is the worst pirate I have ever seen."

my read shelf:
Huh, I didn't know that. Thanks for the meteorology lesson
Hopefully Jay didn't get too drenched!
my read shelf:
Thank you everyone for your encouragement! And Joy, I'm not sure how I feel. Obviously I'm super proud of myself for doing the work out but I can't say I enjoy it nor do I despise it. I'm in a "Just Do It" mentality at the moment.
Physically, I always feel like my lungs are going to explode after about half way through. I've realized I think it's because I'm not breathing in enough air. When I would force myself to take deep breaths (very hard to do while running), I would start to feel better immediately. But training yourself to take deeper breaths is hard.
I timed it out so that I'm doing about 2.1 miles of straight running so I still have to add another mile on top of that to get to the 5k level. We'll see. I'm just taking it a week at a time and am constantly amazed at the things my body can do now that it couldn't seven weeks ago.
But I do love my running shoes and I've gotten some cute shorts and tank tops so yay for that
my read shelf:
Did you take any pictures? Meredith Rose is a beautiful name!
<a href="http://www.thenest.com/?utm_source=ticker&utm_medium=HTML&utm_campaign=tickers" title="D
Yes I took some pictures. But she is not my kid and her parents aren't even on facebook so I wouldn't feel comfortable putting them on the internet. Take my word for it she is cute. She has brown eyes and big chipmunk cheeks. Needless to say I am in love.
E: You go girl! Do you have a 5K in mind that you are planning on running in?
That's cool! I was curious if you had started to love running or not. By that point in the C25K, I was completely, head over heels, in love with running. I couldn't believe that I could do it without dying. I couldn't believe that I felt awesome afterwards. I have learned, however, that not all days feel good. Sometimes I run and just want to sleep for days afterwards.
I'm doing a 5K on Saturday, I think. I haven't ran in about two months. I suck.
Yay! Congrats, Lois!!! can't wait to see pictures!
my read shelf:
I cant believe you peoples haven't seen these movies! They are great.
I posted a good morning thread this morning. It must have been eaten. But joys quote is way better.
Honestly, I really hope to get to this point as well. I think I'm getting closer with every week so we'll see
Also, no specific 5k plans yet but DH plans to do one in August so maybe ill do it with him. Good luck on yours Joy!!!
