Lost my job, now I have an HR questions
Yesterday, I was let go from my job. I had scheduled 10 days of vacation starting on Wed. (Nice timing, right?!) My boss told me that she will pay me for the rest of the month. My question is this: does that mean she needs to pay me mu un-used vacation time ON TOP of my salary for the rest of the month? Or is she going to pay me in some other way?
I don't want to ask her until i know what's actually owed to me.
Thanks!

This! Depending on the size of the company and like PP said, the policy. My firm pays for accrued vacation only.
If she's paying you until the end of the month that could be severance. So I would ask about your accrued vacation.
They should have given you a severance package on your way out the door if you were not terminated for a good reason. I have been laid off twice and both times they spelled out what my severance package would be or wouldn't be. Both also told me to go apply for unemployment.
I would review the package that they should have given you before I contacted HR.
