Friday tampon talk anyone? (TMI)
So, I've never been able to use a tampon without a pantyliner...ever. Sure, sometimes there is only a slight trace of something on that pantyliner, but more often than naught I just leak.

I've tried branching off to another brand, and it seems to help a little, but I'd really like it to help a lot. I've also tried changing things more frequently, but again, it's only minimally helpful. I never leave a tampon in for longer than 4 hours...it just makes me nervous, and I never sleep with a tampon in, so I'm not talking about leakage after long hours. What gives?
Re: Friday tampon talk anyone? (TMI)
Are you filling up the tampons (very heavy flow) or is the tampon just not catching it all?
I switched to a menstrual cup almost a year ago and I've never looked back. It holds more than a tampon and you can leave it in for longer periods of time (up to 12 hours). It does have a bit of a learning curve but I got the hang of it pretty quickly. I don't mean to sound weird but it really has changed my life!
lol...I know it sounds weird but it really is a great little product! The one I use is the Diva Cup (ignore the stupid name). It's reusable, so it saves money.
Like I said, you can leave it in for up to 12 hours. Most days I am able to empty it around 8 am and then again at 8 pm. So no more awkward bathroom trips during the day when both kids and the dog want follow me to the bathroom! I used to have to get up in the middle of the night to change a tampon and now I don't have to do that anymore.
It did take me a little while to get the hang of it so I wore a panty liner because it will leak if it's not in right. But now I'm a pro and it's not any more time consuming than a tampon.
It's seriously a great feeling to know that I don't have to load my purse up with tampons when I leave the house.
I will only use Kotex tampons. ONLY. reg and or heavy as needed. use them all the time even to sleep. Always wear a liner anyway cause of the string and sometimes things happen But most of the time no issues.
I have tried other brands including the Up and UP at Target that say compare to Kotex and they are not the same.
I don't like the aplicators in others or the way they expand some leak...
Have you tried them? seriously I have converted at least 3 people! lol.
I have wanted to try the cups, actually heard about them a LONG timeago before you can buy them at the store. I just haven't done it.
