Re: Whine and Win Wednesday
Whine: I'm EXHAUSTED. I barely slept last night thanks to some awesome post-nasal drip stuff and now I'm barely awake at my desk with 5 more hours to go.
Win: I got vanilla bean frozen yogurt last night. I don't think I've been so excited for something - ever.
Whine: DH is gone til Friday so I'm left to clean the rest of the house.
Win: Before DH left, he vacuumed the upstairs and brought the vacuum down to the lower level so I didn't have to carry it.
Whine: My company started a blog and somehow, I got stuck with an obscene amount of posts that have to be done by tomorrow. I have one and a half more to do.
Win: I take this as my boss trusting my knowledge in the product which feels awesome.
Whine-I am hungry and want breakfast now but I usually wait for LO's morning nap because I don't want to share!
Win-We slept until 7:50 this morning!So much better than the 5:30 or 6 wake ups we have been having.
Whine-I am SMH at my SIL. She says her daughter (3months) goes to sleep at 1030 or 11 and sleeps until 5am and that is her bedtimeand wakeup but doesn't count her falling asleep at 8 and sleeping until 1030 or going back to sleep at 530 and sleeping until 830. I told her it is normal for her to wake up and eat a few times a night at this age but now she is saying that she is going to sleep at 930 now so it won't be long until she has her sleeping through the night in no time. I really hope she isn't sleep training yet.
Win-It is raining this week but supposed to be beautiful this weekend! This is perfect because it needs to rain to prevent wildfires but I am glad it keeps clearing up for the weekends!

WIN: Lucy is completely done with bottles. I'm excited to put them all up and not wash them anymore.
WHINE: No bottle washing will be short-lived because I'm seven weeks pregnant.
WIN: Lucy is going to be a big sister. I love to watch her grow up. She's hilarious.
WHINE: I bled a little yesterday and still have a tiny bit of spotting today, but since this is how my last pregnancy went I decided not to call the doc. I have an u/s scheduled for next Friday and figure I'll just deal until then.
WIN: It feels good to tell someone my little secret. So long as our u/s goes well next week we'll be telling our families on vacation in Cabo the following weekend! Yay for VACATION!

ETA: I realize my first statement has a "that's what she said" joke written all over it. So be it.
Whine: I'm exhausted and won't get to bed at a reasonable hour tonight because its hockey playoffs. Reasonable is 9pm.
Win: My team is in the running for the Stanley Cup!
Whine: I get no days for the passing of our uncle, so we're going to be late to the wake on Friday.
Win: One of our nieces was here yesterday and I got to show her a really neat website and we practiced all her letters. She's a smart cookie for being 1 and a half.
Whine: My pants are too tight and I can't get new pants until we get paid Friday. I look ridiculous.
Win: I've eaten pasta for 3 meals in 2 days. I'm not ashamed. This could be why my pants don't fit.
Whine: DH really wants ST. I feel like a whale due to bloating. He's wanted to fool around for at least a week. I keep falling asleep.
Win: Hockey is on and he'll be distracted.

The really sad part is if he were my blood relative I'd get a day. He's basically blood to me, I knew him for over 10 years and I was closer to him that my blood uncle. The services are 2 hours away, just outside NYC on Friday. The traffic is going to be horrendous. I tried telling them that and was still denied. Luckily, dh's supervisor told him to take as long as he needs.
I hate this for you too. I know employers have to draw the line somewhere for benefits, but you just can't define a relationship by blood relation. The work situation makes a tough situation tougher. I hope you guys don't have to miss too much.
