Coupon Question - Stroller Related
I decided to go with the City Mini GT but it wasn't purchased from my registry and it doesn't qualify for the registry completion coupon through Amazon. We received a few gift cards to Babies R Us (my favorite store[8-)]) so I was thinking I could get the stroller there using the gift cards. I'd like to use a coupon to get the price down even more but I don't know the in's and outs of Babies R Us and their coupon policy... Question one would be, will let BRU let me use a coupon to get the stroller? Question two, if yes to being ae to use a coupon, does anyone have a coupon for BRU or know an easy way to get one? If I go to the BRU in NJ, will they honor a Bye Bye Baby coupon? (Not that I have a BBB coupon but I'm just wondering about different options). Is it just an urban legend that I can use a Bed Bath and Beyond coupon at BRU because I get the 20% off and the $5 off coupons in the mail all the time to Bed Bath and Beyond.

I have some coupons for BRU and BBB but the Baby Jogger is excluded on all of them...
The BRU in KOP definitely doesn't honor competitor's coupons anymore, I tried to use one a few weeks ago...The one in New Jersey may because there is a BBB there (I know the one's in NY always seem to according to my sister)
Also, I have a few BBB coupons I can give you if we end up having the GTG next week. I usually save them up to give to my sister and mom because there isn't one around here. Just remind me!
It is excluded from BRU and I've heard that BRU will not let you use competitor coupons on anything that they typically exclude... if they even let you use them (I've heard yes and no).
I got mine on amazon with my completion coupon... wonder why it won't let you? maybe that particular color?
I've heard you CAN use the Bed Bath and Beyond coupon to buy it at Buy buy baby (Buy buy's 20% excludes it but bed bath's does not)
finally I just wanted to say that I LOVE LOVE LOVE our gt... it is worth every cent you pay!

My best advice would be to start a BRU registry, although it might pain you to do so. Wait for the completion coupon - might take a month or so - maybe bump up your due date for it to come asap? The completion discount at BRU is 15% AND you can sign up for a BRU credit card for an additional 15% off. Coupons aren't valid but you'll be getting a pretty sweet deal with 30% off :-)
BBB only has a 10% completion FYI
We're also getting the City Mini, but the double, and they have the floor model on hold for us for an additional 10%. So I'm scoring mine for 40% off and I can't lie, I'm doing a little happy dance right now since it's regularly $450!
Thanks for the info! I've gone ahead and created the BRU registry saying my due date is July 1st so hopefully I'll get the completion coupon sooner rather than later. Good call on the credit card as well! Hopefully we've got at least 7 more weeks to go so there is still lots of time. Worse case, DH has to run out to get the stroller after LO arrives. NBD.
Ok, got ours tonight! The only thing we didn't realize was that they take 15% off first, then take the 2nd 15% off of the first adjustment. So technically you're not getting 30%, it's a little less. I thought I was getting a straight 40% and then took all discounts line by line, it was quite annoying! We still got a great deal.
