First Yr Anniversary

It's comin up at the end of July we live in Ohio and want to spend the weekend somewhere or a night out in the town. We love to travel, eat, dance,go on cruises or riverboats and try new things. Don't want to travel too far since we're on a budget either somewhere in Ohio,Kentucky or Indiana. We want to have a romantic weekend/ evening without breaking the bank. Any suggestions?

Re: First Yr Anniversary

  • My first thought is Hocking Hills.  Being from Ohio, you may have both already explored this area.  I think it would still be nice to rent a cabin with a hot tub and enjoy a weekend to yourselves in that area.

You could also look into Put-In-Bay or Kelley's Island which are both fun touristy islands in Lake Erie.  Put-In-Bay will have more of a party/nightlife atmosphere and Kelley's Island will be more quiet.

It's in the heart of Amish country. There are antique stores, places to hike/walk and just relax.

ETA: In Ohio. I stayed in the hotel place on site for a mommy getaway but the cabins are amazing! I wish I stayed in one of those.

Cedar Point?  I understand some of the hotels near the park are quite nice.
