Current temp: 5 (above 0). Current windchill: 13 below zero. Projected windchill range for today: 15 below to 25 below. I missed my bus this morning because I got frozen inside my car. I was at the park & ride, and I could not get out of my car. The handle was frozen. By the time I got it open, the bus was gone. The only thought my brain could form this morning was, "Fuuck, it's cold!"
I'm just glad I don't live in North Dakota. One of the H's former coworkers moved there, and she said most roads are impassable (due to blowing snow) and they are having "life-threatening" windchills of 45 below zero and lower. Yikes!

Re: F@$! it's cold!
However, in Tampa Bay, FL it is going to be in the high 70s
Why do you think I left WI ASAP? I would not be leaving the house.

The people are nice yet also respective of personal space.
...I just prefer the lower midwest...
That is something I have always wondered myself. Freezing winters and thunderstorm filled summers. Not my cup of tea - San Jose, 49 and rainy today.
The low COL isn't bad, either.
Not a cheesecake person, but fried snickers are A-MAZING!
But they're sooo goood....
And the Indiana State Fair banned trans fats, so that helps a little, right?
It's getting up to 63 here today! Very weird for December in NoVA. I hate it.
I suppose it's better than below zero, but it's just not fun and wintry.
It's mostly been hovering around 50 or so here. I'm still not used to NorCal weather...I miss the traditional seasons of the northeast.
I actually like cold weather, just not painfully cold weather. When I lived in Montreal, it would regularly get to -40. That's where Celcius and Farenheit meet. It was horrible. I never want to be that cold ever again.
Anything you can achieve through hard work, you could also just buy.
Holy hell, that's just not right, Axilla. I'm not sure I could have gotten out of bed under those kind of conditions.
BTW, let's not forget that winter doesn't officially begin for about a week. Hold me, I'm skerred.
Yea, I thought I had escaped super cold New England winters by moving to super temperate Seattle. It was 19 degrees when I left the house this morning with a wind chill of 10. All told it's not that bad, but it's record breaking here. People are FREAKING out. And, anything under 20 qualifies as cold in my book!
