Any furniture store recs in the area? We're looking for new family room furniture and a desk. We stopped at Levin this weekend and didnt' see anything we loved. We're thinking of taking a trip to Sheely's, but want some other close to home options if they exist.
Re: Furniture Stores
Love Arhaus! Crate & Barrel is also one of my favorites. We have also had luck at Value City in Robinson
My sister bought a great couch at Macy's last year and I saw a couch I really liked at JCPenney recently (I'm not really in the market, yet, so I didn't get it). Those are two places I wouldn't think to go look when I'm furniture shopping.
I just got an e-mail today that JCP is having a 40% off furniture sale and an extra 10% off "Home."
I like JCP stuff... they knock off pottery barn regularly so it's a good "traditional" look.
Other places I've shopped:
- craigslist for wood stuff (dressers, buffet, etc...)
- macy's (couch - they have a great repair/replace offer)
- local consignment stores like Savvy Fox
- TJMaxx/Homegoods/Marshalls/Kirklands for accent pieces/chairs
You might also look into amish stuff. It's probably around the price of pottery barn/crate and barrel - maybe less - but much better quality. My friend has gotten a dining room set and a bedroom set from http://www.cherryvalleyamishfurniture.com/. From my experience w/ it its very nice stuff.
