BF'ing, low bbt after o

Hello ladies! Hope you all are doing fabulous! I used to frequent the nest but as work would have it, I have to actually work when I'm here this past year. haha

Anyhow, I'm in the middle of my 2nd pp cycle. BF'ing my 14 month old and starting to wean him. My bbt post ovulation is remaining low, but I have erratic temps due to night waking and BF'ing I assume. I believe I actually o'd on CD28 instead of CD30 based on increasingly tender bb's/N's while BF'ing following that day. They have remained extra sensitive and sore otherwise I would of figured I geared up to O and didn't.

Anyone else experience weird post o temps after O? Do you think my progesterone could be low? I took Vitex CD24 to try and balance my hormones and hopefully ovulate at a decent timeframe, but this cycle my post o temps are actually lower than my first pp cycle.

  • Hi! I just wanted to say Hello and nice to see you again! I am not much help since I am not BF'ing but I did temp a couple cycles coming off of birth control a couple months ago (I am back on BC now) and my temps were all wacky because I rarely sleep through the night and DH wakes up early morning so I usually wake up then as well. I am guessing that is why my chart made no sense and did not go along with my symptoms. I would think that weaning could make your hormone changes which could lead to false symptoms so it is possible you didn't O.

Thanks ladies for your responses. Had a temp increase this morning. I guess the only indicator on if I really did o or not would be if I get AF sometime between Sun & Tuesday since my LP is 11 days and was normal with my first pp.

The n pain is exactly the pain I get after o normally, so don't think it's weaning or hormones, but who knows. (?)
