Backache

My back has really been hurting the past couple days.  Everyone always says 2nd tri is better and the nausea and stuff goes away.  Does that include backache or should I expect that my back is probably gonna hurt the entire pregnancy?

Re: Backache

  • My back started hurting around then too, and has just gotten worse unfortunately...I hope yours doesn't become too unbearable. I've had to actually start work reducing a lot because of it. :/

  • Unfortunately my backache has only gotten worse so far. I don't think that's one of those things that improves because you are carrying around a little person in your belly.

  • it will likely get worse as your belly grows and gets heavier. at 36w i had a hard time standing for 10 minutes at a time because my lower back would start to throb and ache. i remember trying to prep bottles and having a hard time staying on my feet. ugh.
Thanks to our wonderful RE our family is complete!

  • Ugh.  Thanks for your responses.  I figured that's what I was gonna hear, but I was hopeful it would be different.

Oh well.  I'll just be happy that it means my LO is still growing.  Smile

  • Yeah, I just got over the constant exhaustion in the past week or so. Everyone's symptoms are different and they may or may not go away. GL!

My back pain came and went- I had sciatic pain in the first tri and into the second. Then just general lower back pain that came and went until I gave birth. Your body is growing and changing so much- I hope you get some relief soon!

Yes, 2nd tri should bring more energy and less m/s, but that doesn't mean 2nd tri is symptomless....you just get new symptoms! Yay!

FWIW - I had bad sciatic pain (lower back and butt pain) from around 10-13 weeks and then one day it just went away and I haven't had it again.

This same thing happened to me. Hopefully yours eases up too!
