I feel bad about going away for a week to see my family (it was supposed to only be 3 days but my mother needed a ride to the airport so now it's 7 days). Please remember to text me now and then so I know you're doing alright. I don't expect anything to happen to you, but I always worry about how you being home alone means no one will know if you actually made it home each day and I'd have no idea if you were OK. I just like a little peace of mind

Dear Coworker,
I do not need a comment for every phone call I pick up. Being the receptionist, I do pick up a lot of robot calls, and I try my best to stop them. So when I say "We are not moving offices at this time" doesn't mean you need to make that snarky comment of, "really? we aren't moving?" or when I talk to the boss and need to make a call regarding an appointment that he's running late to, I don't need you asking me why. I have a job to do.
I wish for a larger office.

Dear Janitorial Staff,
I appreciate everything you do, I really do, but not emptying out my trash and instead throwing away the box full of stuff I had sitting next to my desk that wasn't trash is really not cool. I needed that stuff for an animal study in two weeks and now have to order new mix tips (which are expensive!). I really hope they can get them in before the animal model, or else I'm gonna be real mad and so is the surgeon.
Seriously. It wasn't trash.
Dear everyone who this wall is not for,
It's a freaking wall. And in no way directly affects you or your workspace. So keep you comments to yourself. If you really want to knkow why it is being built, I will tell you: To keep all you nosey and annoying people out, so I can do my job without distraction. That's why. Also, when I tell you that, it generally means LEAVE. Not continue to stand in front of my desk and comment about how pointless the wall is. Because it's not. You are and you are lazy and negative, now leave me alone.
