I registered Sims and got the confirmation email. It said Sisters of St Francis is the location. When I registered, there was a class in Bethel and one on the N. Side or thereabouts, I thought. I am fairly confident I registered for the N. Side one, but when I googled Sisters of St Francis, it gave me one in Millvale. Not what i recalled, but it's been a month or so, so whatever. So, we go yesterday, the directions were awful and we finally get there and I asked someone who was walking where the pool was and she said there wasn't one!!! The confirmation email gives no street address, and when I called CCAC, there was no way to talk to a live person re: the community education and I had to leave a message with a disappointed boy and an infuriated me. The CCAC class website has the class listing, but no information as to where it's located.
Moral of the rant is, I have no idea where the next class is at and no clue how to get the info. Has anyone ever taken this class and could tell me where it's at before I lose my mind?
Thanks!
Re: Anyone ever taken the Swim Tots class through CCAC?
Google turned this up:
PITTSBURGH?The Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC) is offering summer aquatics classes for all ages at the Sisters of St. Francis, 3603 McRoberts Rd., Pittsburgh (South Hills). Classes beginning June 8 use a well heated, shallow walking pool.
The press release was from 2011. It can be found here:
http://www.ccac.edu/default.aspx?id=152396
I have not taken the class, but hope this helps.
Our daughter attends the daycare center they have on site. We've inquired with CCAC about the Swim Babies class they have, but unfortunately they did not have evenings. I've heard great things about the pool and I know it?s heated. The person above me has the correct directions and its right up off of Rt 88 in the south hills. Enjoy!!
We do the one in Bethel/Castle Shannon. The one in the north hills is at Sisters of the Divine Providence:
9000 Babcock Blvd, McCandless PA
FYI: the one in North Hills is called Water Tots and Water Babies by the CCAC.
