diaper questions

We are planning on doing cloth diapers once LO is out of the nb size. We are doing disposables for NB size.

I feel pretty well prepared for cloth diapers...but not for disposables. I realize this is a silly question...but do you point diaper cream on every time you change a sposie?

I only ever put cream on if there was irritation. Others may be different.

I only use diaper cream when M's bum is a little red or she has a rash.

Me too! Except I was HYPER vigilant with even the slightest red after LT had a 7 week diaper rash. (It turned out to be a compound yeast and bacterial- my poor little!) After I changed him fully to cloth we haven't had a single rash (knock on wood!)

We put some in after every poop diaper because it all gets wiped off then. She had 2 bad rashes so now we prevent them.

We had a similar rash experience for like 5 months. It was yeast and bacterial and awful. After that I putcream on every day for a little while after because I didn't want that sucker to come back. Other than that we only use it when needed.
