FFFC

I think we might opt to do the NT scan not because I really need or want to know the results but because it'll give me another ultrasound in a week or two.

 Any one else have one?

  • I'll join in...

I completely judge the way my brother reacts to his kids. My SIL has been fantastic but my brother is a crazy neurotic overprotective person (I know I technically shouldn't judge til my LO is here...). He bought my nephew a protective helmet for when he was learning to walk and sits like three inches away from him as he eats. They have a 3 mo. old as well who has always snored and the second he stops snoring - even if it is just a sigh - my brother frantically runs over to him to see if he's breathing.

I understand being vigilant and protective but this is a little overboard.

  • We're not doing all the genetic testing because our insurance doesn't cover it and because if our child has a disability knowing won't change anything.

Also, I had 2 iced coffees today.

To each their own but man it just sounds tiring being like that!  My husband and I often say we've learned a lot from watching friends and family have kids!

  • It really pisses me off when people tell me what's good or bad to do during my pregnancy. I don't know if that makes any sense.

So, I needed to get a deep cleaning and of coarse I needed to get anesthesia. When I got home my tongue was numb and I couldn't talk and my IL's were visiting. They kept saying how the anesthesia was so bad for my LO and how it was going to get to her brain and how she was going to have seizures her whole life because I had decided to get anesthesia while at the dentist.

First, I'm not stupid and I wouldn't do something to hurt my daughter!!

Second, I asked my doctor before doing the procedure!!

Third, gosh if you are so smart, you should have studied to be a doctor!!

I'm sorry this got so long but it really makes me mad how they think they know everything!

It exhausts me and I'm not even doing anything. Ha. Still the best moment ever was when my brother ran over to the 3 mo. old to "check his breathing," my 2 yr old nephew goes, "Relax, daddy." I was on the floor!!! That's how you know a person is being overbearing - when the 2 yr old notices lol
