Hi Ladies,
I had another measuring u/s Friday due to my GD. Baby looks healthy and my placenta looks good.
I am going to be 35 weeks on Tuesday.
At my 30 week measuring u/s baby was over 3 pounds and in the 42nd percentile, which they were happy with.
At my 34.5 week measuring u/s baby is 4 pounds 10 ounces and in the 24th percentile.
I have been following the GD diet religiously for more than two months and my numbers have been mostly good. OB and GD nutritionist are happy with them. My OB told me to keep limiting my carbs, but to try and eat more calories (because he is small and I have actually lost weight). So I guess it is more bacon for me! :-) She expects he will be 7.5 pounds when he is born.
But he is breech. His head is pushing on my ribs, and his butt is sticking out.
So, we have about 2 weeks for him to turn on his own.
If he doesn't turn, my OB said she may be willing to try to physically turn him (e version) at 37 weeks. They do it in the hospital with the OR prepped in case it causes me to need an emergency c/s. Apparently it has about a 50% success rate.
If he still isn't head down, they will schedule me a c/s.
My OB said she would let me go to 40 weeks if I want, but she would schedule it between 39 and 40 weeks. It seems like a lot of pressure to pick a birthday!
I don't know what we will decide to do. I feel like this is just one more thing. This whole PG has been very hard on me from the start and it seems at every turn.
I am kind of ready to give up and schedule the c/s. But I know I should at least look into the e version. It is just so much. I am tired. I feel like I don't have any "fight" left in me.
Everyone be thinking "head down" thoughts for Martin and me. :-)

I'm so glad the baby is healthy and doing well. Many babies flip right before labor starts. Check out spinningbabies.com (i think thats the site...), maybe check out a prenatal chiropractor in your area and prenatal yoga. All help you find optimal positions to help baby move.
If a c/s is needed whatever birthday you pick will be absolutely perfect.
.
Turn baby turn!
Cora was breech at my 35 week ultrasound. The next day, I had what I assume was a contraction. I was doubled over in pain and couldn't move. The next day at my appointment, my doctor was surprised that she was breech because he thought her head was down. I guess that was her moving.
There is plenty of time!
