So Greg just sprung on me that he talked to his dad last night. He has a place down in Pots Nets and wants us to come down this weekend. I feel guilty because we didn't even go down once last summer so this is kind of a must do thing. All my life I have avoided going to the beach on Memorial Day, the 4th and Labor Day. I hate the traffic and all the people. So has anyone recently gone down on any major weekends? I was thinking of doing the boardwalk in Rehoboth Saturday during the day or going to Cape Henelopen State park. I just know parking is horrible at both even on non holiday weekends. Any advice on what times are the best to do stuff down there?

Re: Beach 4th of July
We normally go to the beach on 4th of July because I love the fireworks on the beach but that's the only time we go anywhere near the town. If we go to the beach, we get up early and drive onto 3Rs so my dad and H can surf fish and the rest of us can just hang out. Normally though, we just cook out and go to the pool on holiday weekends.
I like Jill's suggestion about taking the bus but be careful about planning on parking at the outlets because that too can get super crowded. My advice to you is to just go where ever you want to go but go really early.
