Why hello friends! Happy Monday. I got up early to walk with DH and I don't have to go in till 1 so I think I may take a nap first :-P. Because I am still enjoying my lazy weekend.
Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend! Who has off most of this week? I just get Thursday off which is kind of a bummer. But oh well

I switched my day off from Thursday to Friday so I can have the long weekend. H has to work on Thursday anyway so it's not like we have anything happening.

My weekend was okay. I have a teething crank monster. Poor kid. I wish I could grow his teeth and give them to him when I'm done so he doesn't have to deal with all the pain.

The heat wave has been insane! They are setting records all over the place and its only June. My poor parents have been working to fix up a rental to sell and have had a ton of work to do outside. They are almost 70!
Beanie H gets Thursday and Friday off but I have to work on Friday BOO. We are also going to DC for the fireworks b/c we have friends in town so its going to be a loooong Friday.

Thursday&Friday are my regular days off this week, so that's kind of nice. Williamsport has their 4th Celebration on the 4th, so we're going to go up for that.
This week at work should be interesting. The one girl we had working the 4-12 shift had her last day yesterday, and they don't have a replacement yet. So I dunno what they're going to do.

We had a great weekend. We went into BLO and saw my family, They had the fireworks this weekend. It was good to catch up with everyone. My grandparents got a tablet so we help them set that up and transfered some pictures and movies to it. We might go back this weekend as they are having a fair with a beer tent. We shall see. H has off Thursday and Friday. I had off Thursday but took Friday off too. Wohooo four day weekend!!!

All my bosses are away. Most of the lab is away, as well. I'm trying to decide if that will make me productive or bored. Tough call.
I'm sitting at work sniffling over the pictures my sister and brother in law have put on Facebook for their puppy, who they put down yesterday due to a tumor. We didn't grow up with dogs and I'm ashamed to say that I didn't "get it" before now how losing a pet is like losing a family member.

here you go Joy! I am sorry they had to put down their sweet puppy. H didn't know what to do with me when I lost my childhood dog because he just didn't understand.

My sister picked me up yesterday just before they left for the vet hospital. Their dog was already in the car. She didn't look up, she didn't respond when I petted her, nothing. It was for the best. My poor brother in law, who had her since was six weeks old, knows it was the right decision, but is devastated nonetheless.
Evening ladies. It was a crazy day at work today. Two people were laid off ("positions eliminated") on Friday and two more were today so everyone was all on edge and it was quite chaotic. Thankfully, no one in my area was laid off and there aren't any more planned. So yeah, I've been super stressed about that even though I knew it wouldn't be me. Hopefully tomorrow returns to normal (or at least somewhat)
Aggie - I hope you had your "me" time this weekend and are back to normal.
Joy - I'm so sorry about your niece-dog. It's never easy
