vent: again with lack of RSVPs...

Seriously.  I wouldn't' mind if it was a few people... like I am not sure if my grandmother is coming, or if my SIL did let her DH move back in... Or if My BIL's GFs Kids will come.  I am ok with that.

There are 3 people I have not heard back from at all.  Which- yes 3 out of 24 invites aren't bad... EXCEPT that they all have children. at TOTAL OF 7 children to be exact which is EQUAL to the number of kids that have said they Are coming.  How am I supposed to plan favors when I may have TWICE AS MANY KIDS??? ugh.

Re: vent: again with lack of RSVPs...

  • Can you call or email them?  I would just say you wanted to make sure since you have to plan for favors and you want to make sure every kid gets one.
  • Yeah, that's rude.   I don't know if it's tacky or not, but I would call them.

That is just rude. My friend invited 24 kids in her sons kindergarden class to his party. Only half RSVP'd by the time the party came. Rude!!

I had created a FB event for it to help people RSVP maybe maybe... so they could just hit the button and be done with it.  By the way only like 5 people Rsvped that way and they were all family that also told me they were coming in person with the exception of my Husbands cousin.

So I sent a Message to the 3 of the original people I hadn't heard from "Just checking in if you can make the fun! Shopping for favors this weekend!"

RSVPS were due. Sunday... 1. 1 person replied to the message that she was sorry she hadn't called and they couldn't come. The other 2 SAW THE MESSAGES ( cause thank you FB- it tells you that) BUT still didn't reply.

SUPER RUDE. that is still 5 of the 7 missing kids...

The other is a kid from preschool we gave the invite to the last day of school. I don't have her info to contact her.... not too worried about those 2 kids. but the 5 other of so called Friends- really irks me!

  • I would go on what you have when you shop for favors then.  If they show up, their kids don't get a favor.  I had to not give a favor to one of the kids at Noah's party, because she was a sibling and I didn't know she was coming.  It sucks, but it's their fault for not letting you know earlier.
