my grocery store utopia update
Re: my grocery store utopia update
I dream of a Wegmans opening up here.
I'm familiar with Whole Foods, Trader Joes and Wegmans, but I'd never heard of Fresh Market until they announced they were coming to Lebo.
What is it that makes them special?
My little sister loves Wegman's. Her boyfriend lives in Buffalo and she brings back all kinds of stuff when she goes to visit.
I've never heard of Fresh Market either?
I do enjoy Wegmans, we go there when we visit my IL's, it's very nice!!

Lisa, I have never been in one, or heard of it until they started building. It was K's BFF's wife who told me that her mom loves Fresh Market. They have a lot of bulk food options, fresh meat, seafood, produce.... So I am eager to check it out. It looks a tad bigger than the TJs that is up the road. But it includes an actual Meat case/butcher type place as well as an instore bakery. Mmmm, pie.
I want a full report
I like the idea of a nice fresh organic butcher. I may have to check it out the next time I need to visit the Village.
Yea, I think the article says it is NC based?
I've been 2x already.
It is a foodie's store. It's not going to replace a regular store for most people, but it makes you want to make gourmet food.
I went in to look and walked out w/ $50 worth of stuff to make fancy sandwiches for lunch. ahahha. Well, a little more than that, but you know...

we had one in Richnond and loved it! I love the pastries and meat options. They were wonderful. I also like the bulk spice option so that I could try just a little bit of a couple of new spices to add to our meals. The produce is also very fresh. What I like about them the most was that their prices were on par if not cheaper than the conventional grocery store and definitely cheaper than whole foods.
