Random thoughts about shaving your legs...

Have you ever run your hand along your leg and noticed a SUPER long hair?  And then you start wondering, how in the heck have I been missing this sucker all this time?  Exactly how long have I been missing it?  Has anyone else noticed it?  Good God, I hope not!  And then the next time you shower, you make a concentrated effort to get it...but you suddenly can't find it anymore?  And then you start thinking about how unfair it is that women have to shave their legs in the first place.

...or is that just me?

Re: Random thoughts about shaving your legs...

  • I have had that happen to me before! And the same hair more than once, and I KNOW that I shave that area of my leg. Ugh.
  • I haven't had a single hair, but have missed a section.  Then the light always hits it and I'm sure others can see it.

My random thought is why do cheaper razors seem to do a better job then the expensive ones.  I bought the Schick disposable razors b/c I had a buy one, get one coupon.  They are great!  Such a closer shave and they still feel smooth the next day.  :-)

  • No matter how hard I try, I always miss a few on my knees. Greg usually will point it out when we are in the car, because he's so sweet like that. Then I spend the rest of the day trying to hide my hairy knee caps from everyone.

Interesting!  I used cheap ones when I first started shaving, but I always cut the hell out of myself with them so my mom went and got me a fancy shmancy razor.  One would assume my hand is a bit steadier now after years of practice, so perhaps I shall have to conduct an experiment.

  • My hair is so fine and blonde I can't see where I hit (I stopped using shaving cream years ago) so I miss patches. I think only I can see and that's when the light hit it just right and I'm really looking.

This happened to me this weekend! It was the first weekend I wore shorts all summer so I'm giving myself a free pass this time.

I'm pretty sure once in awhile you have a hair that grows super quickly- I get them elsewhere, too.

And shaving my legs-haha. Let's just say when you're 9 months pregnant you can't see your legs, let alone shave them. I actually did it tonight and it was quite a sight to see. Luckily I have pretty light leg hair and even when I'm not preggers I don't shave as much as I should.
