Finding Economical Airline Tickets
Hello all,
Any advice when it comes to booking cheap airline tickets? Of course beyond searching the normal online travel sites.
Thanks,
Amy Jo
Re: Finding Economical Airline Tickets
Some airlines, like Southwest, do opt-out of these sites and you have to search seperately on their sites.
Fare alerts on kayak
Flying mid-week
Flying during off-peak seasons
Booking at least a month in advance and typically around 6 weeks out (more for holidays)
Flying LCCs as long as you know what you're getting into
Searching flights for a bunch of destinations on the days you're looking to travel and choosing to go wherever the best deal is. Skyscanner.net can be good for this, since they allow you to do searches without specifying a destination, but I think it works better for flights within Europe.
