:-)

Figured I go easy on ya. Or maybe I am to lazy to think up a better quote. You pick :-P.  Happy Monday friends. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Did ya do anything fun?

We saw Monsters University. It was pretty cute!

Other than that our weekend wasn't that exciting which I am ok with!

Re: hi ho hi ho its off to work we go

  • Morning!

Non eventful weekend over here. The rednecks in our neighborhood were still shooting off fireworks on Friday and Saturday too. And I'm calling them rednecks because they are, not because they were still shooting off fireworks after the 4th of July. I live in redneck central.

I'm only working half day today because Chase has his 15 month check up. It includes shots. :(

Nothing much else is going on here.

  • Charlie has his appointment today too kris. I was a bit late booking it but better late than never!!

Today is our nephews first bday so were going over to their place for dinner to celebrate!!

We also were asked yesterday to be Godparents to our friends baby  boy! I feel so blessed they chose us again. We are Godparents to their one daughter already. We will now have 4 Godchildren. It's so crazy!! Thankfully Godparents don't get the kids if anything should happen to the parents anymore. That could be insane!

  • Hope everything goes well at the Dr appts today.

Speaking of babies I have some serious baby fever recently. Wowzers it's bad!

  • Hello.

My weekend was good. Helped H out in the shed building shelves.  Well, I tend to get heat rashes in the crease of my elbows. It happens, I'm used to it.  What I'm not used to is one around my neck.  I am itchy but it's not like I can claw my neck.  Roar.

We had some idiots doing fireworks this weekend too.  Some shook our house.  It's ILLEGAL to have normal fireworks here.  I was pissed. H was like "It's 4th of July weekend"  Yeah. 4th of July is one day.  If we had a kid or a dog I'm sure you'd be feeling differently.  If you shoot off fireworks on any day but the actual holiday (unless weather causes a delay), you are a dickdouche and I hate you.

Echo- Are you going team green again?

  • Our weekend was ... ridiculous?  Messy?  Not at all as planned?

It started so innocently on Thursday morning.  My husband removed some ceiling so he could attach a wall.  Only, he found mold on the drywall.  Small pinpricks, but mold nonetheless that we had to take care.  So, he ripped down half the ceiling.  Then, he decided the other half of the ceiling wasn't put in properly so he took that down, too.

It just went downhill from there.  There was some fighting, some anger, some "You need to stop lying about how long this project will take...", and many apologies on all sides.

There's so much more, but I'll leave you with that.

Morning! We had an uneventful weekend as well. H worked the tractor and his car most of the weekend. Friday night we went into BLO to see a band. H drank way too much and had a rough Sat. LOL! One of the neighbors shot of fireworks on the fourth. The show was quite impressive considering it was in a back yard and long! I don't get mad about fireworks around the 4th. It is a holiday that is sort a whole week or weekend depending where the 4th falls. Let them celebrate!

  • Holy Crap joy that is seriously nuts!  I hope it improves quickly.

Eh I expect fireworks for several days around the holiday both the 4th and new years.  As long as they aren't going off at ridiculous hours of the day I don't have an issue with it. And I have a dog who isn't a huge fan of them.

  • Hello!

Echo&Kris - Good luck to the boys on their appts!

Joy - That sounds all kinds of crazy!

I worked this weekend, so we didn't do much. Saturday after work I went to Mass. DH hasn't been coming, and it kind of bothers me. I can't figure out if it's because he doesn't like the Church we go to, or if he just doesn't want to go to Mass period. I think it's the second, because the last time we were at his mom's he didn't go there either. I don't want to push it with him, but at the same time I want my H to have religion a part of his life.
I had a ridiculous weekend at work. Saturday all the toilets were backed up, and it was so bad the sewage was coming up into the showers. Ugh! So I had to call the one administrator and it never got fixed until like 3:00. Then I had to go around bleaching all the bathrooms because of the ***. Literally, ***. Then yesterday one of the breakers kept getting tripped. And the breaker box is down in the basement, so every time it happened I had to run down there and flip the breaker. 7 times I had to do that! 7!!!! That's just nuts. I was not happy.

I'm off today, thank goodness. I worked Friday instead. We might go to a Crosscutters game tonight in Williamsport. We'll see.

Joy: Don't feel bad I believe my H and I have had a few of those disagreements over the years. I have to tell myself that in the end it will be better than it was and eventually it will get all done. I hope the ceiling goes back up as quickly as it came down and that you don't find any more mold. O and yes I have been to Cole's, Cole's = Brennan's. I am not sure why we call it Brennan's, but we always have.

JLQ: I am glad someone knew my movie quote. Smile O and just read your post. Wow that is a crazy weekend at work. Yuck!

  • Blegh.  This is the first full week I will have to work since mid-May and I'm not looking forward to it.  #firstworldproblems  #yesiknowisoundlikeabrat

I also have a doctor's appointment tomorrow morning because my leg has been killing me the past two weeks.  DH thinks I have the beginnings of a stress fracture in my femur and I'm inclined to believe him after reading everything the internet says about stress fractures.  So yeah, that's tomorrow.

This weekend we went to the ILs for their annual 4th of July party.  It was crazy busy (more than 50+ people) but my mom ended up coming from Minnesota to visit for the weekend so I got to see her :)

Aggie - I'm glad you liked Monster's U. It looks super cute :)

Kris - good luck with the LO and his shots.  That sounds awful :(

Echo - how'd your first day with the kiddo go?

Beanie - I hope you feel better soon!

Joy - that is nuts.  I hope things have calmed down at your house and that the wall gets taken care of shortly.

Degrea - did you enjoy the concert?

Yes we did enjoy the concert. They are a great cover band that plays Lady Gaga to Journey. HAHA!

LVB: How does one recover from a stress fracture? Cast, walking boot, just heals by itself. Either way I hope you get some answers and are feeling better in no time!

stress fractures are usually a walking boot and lots o time I think.

I really hope its not one for your sake E they can really stink  H had one on and off for over a year (but he was a nut ball who didn't listen to drs and continued to run on it so don't think it will last for a year)

And I can't believe you haven't had a full work week in 2 months! That is crazy.

  • Thanks, guys.  Everything in our house is covered in a thick, black dust and fiberglass from the insulation.  I agreed to let my husband take out the ceiling as long as it was put back in by yesterday.  We have a backyard full of contraband (demolished ceiling, no permit) and a mess of a second bedroom.

The ceiling did not go yesterday because of a lot problems beyond our control.  I called my sister because I was frustrated and stressed and all she said was "Yeah, that's home renovation."  I almost started crying.  I told Jay that I just wanted someone to say "That sucks.  I'm sorry."  So, he said it.  Over and over.  And pointed out that my sister is having a baby tomorrow and has never done construction on her house.  Hahaha.  He's awesome.  He felt terrible that he couldn't put the ceiling in yesterday.

I know it will be worth it.  He framed out a sweet linen closet along with the second bedroom.  I'm excited to paint and make it a room.

  • Charlie's appointment went well! He has always been in the lower numbers for weight but is now 22lbs and around the 40 percentile or so. Hes 32.25 inches tall which is 80 something percentile. In case y'all wanted to know.

We are team green again and my first days with my daycare girl  went well. I have her again Thursday and Friday this week and then full time starting next week. It's busy but good.

  • I have wasted the past 2 hours reading Buzzfeed articles. And I don't feel one ounce of bad about myself for that.

This is my assumption (possibly crutches) but I don't know for sure Degrea.   I'm still hoping its nothing and I can start running again tomorrow ;)  I was one workout away from completing the program and I'm livid.

::Hugs::: Joy  Home improvement projects are THE WORST.  They suck and cause all sorts of ridiculous stress.  You'll get through it and your house will be better for it.

s/he doesn't have a clever name yet. Our boy name is Dominic Joseph/Francis but our girl name isn't set. Last time we had Sarah Elizabeth, Therese Rose or Sarah Therese or Therese Sarah but none of them are really sounding amazing now. They're all in the running though as is  Elizabeth as a first name. I really feel this ones a girl so if this doesn't get solved in 15 weeks I will have a freak out for the last 10!!
