Has anyone used mint.com? If so can you give me your thoughts....easy to use? Helpful with budgeting? Safe and secure?
My husband and I are gearing up to buy a house within the next year and though we are doing a great job of saving I think it'd be nice to see a visual of where exactly our money is going. I dont need any budget advice (though Im sure you have some great ideas) I just would like your thoughts on the website.
Thanks in advance!
Re: mint.com
I've been using it since November 2012. It's helped a ton to see exactly where/ how much my $$ is going.
I've scared people that I've been able to tell them how much I spend in dr. copays, groceries, clothing, and debt repayment (to name a few).
Hubby is happy that I can tell him exactly how much I pay a month towards debt, what the balances are for the debts and how much has been paid off.
Mint makes me feel very financially empowered.
It took me a few hours to set it up initially because I had to round up all the bills that were in collection and go through the check book to figure out income and what I was spending on certain categories.
Now, it takes me maybe 5-15 minutes in the beginning of the month to tweak the budget. I check the budget about every 10 days to make sure that transactions are being entered properly.
**6.30.12** I have found the one whom my soul loves.
