LT has had a clogged tear duct since he was born.. they kept telling me not to worry it would clear up on its own. They said 99% of the time nothing else needs to be done. Well he's 9 months now and his new Pedi said it should have cleared off by now. She referred us to the ENT clinic and explained they would probably poke a hole in the blockage. (Cue freaking out)
Anyone else deal with this? I'm going to do some google-ing too but sometimes stories from people you "know" is better! TIA

Congrats to my TTC buddies Amberley18 and tdmd09!
After 25 months- medicated cycles and a failed IUI- The most planned surprise baby ever is on his way!

Re: Clogged tear duct..
He's had the blockage since he was born... we've tried the warm cloths and massaging (as much as we could anyways- he's ALWAYS hated it!) nothing has worked though so they are moving on to medical treatment for it.

I'm sorry it's been so long. Wow.
Both my babies have had it. Well, I assume it was clogged... Sealed shut With goop. I sprayed my breast milk in their eye and it cleared up.
I hope they can do something less invasive.
My brother had this. It did not clear up on it's own and he had to have an operation (24 years ago). It fixed him up, and now he can squirt milk out his eye. Well it doesn't really squirt, it just kind of dribbles out, but it's still cool.
Sorry you're dealing with it. Hopefully it can be fixed easily.
