"Nobody puts Baby in the corner!"
I thought I would do an easy one. Mostly because I am tried and don't wanna today! There is two men with ladders outside my cube and I feel trapped in here. I am not a fan! Hopefully they finish doing what they have to do soon. H comes back tonight which is good because I tend to worry when he is not home. Last night I got up at 2 am to make sure I shut the garage door. I told myself I did but I had to double check. It was of course closed.

Why is electricity so expensive these days?
Why does it cost so much for something
I can make with a balloon and my hair?

"I carried a watermelon."
Love that movie.
When my H isn't home I freak out, too. Last time I was home alone I had to check that all the doors and windows were locked 3 times.
H wants to go to to his school today to see if any of his stuff came in. He's so excited because last year he ordered a ton of things from his budget and he's been anxiously awaiting their arrival. He's like a kid at Christmas.

I almost quoted that movie yesterday! it was on this weekend and I watched it. H had never seen it and kept asking why I liked it. :-P
Yes, he's a physics teacher. He's waiting for lab equipment. He ordered so much. I'm kind of excited, too. I want to play with it all. I mean, we have to make sure it all works! hahah!
I don't know if he even ordered office supplies. The teacher that was there before him seriously stocked up. They have no limit on how much they can order of those types of supplies. He mostly ordered stuff like popsicle sticks and glue sticks that he plans to use for labs. haha!
my read shelf:
Aggie: WHAT?...Silly H!! It is a great movie that is why you like it. Plus it is a classic in my book. Good girl falls for bad guy who isn't a bad guy at all. I even own the soundtrack, haha!
JLQ: That sounds like fun! Who doesn't like to play with lab equipment. I always like the labs that had batteries and magnets. Shocking I know.
This was the best! Oh I loved school supply shopping.
I remember watching Dirty Dancing with my mom when I was, like, 14 and she thought she had to explain the term "knocked up" (or some similar euphamism). I was flabbergasted that she thought I didn't know what it meant. Silly madre.
my read shelf:
I said this quote to DH, and he said "is that some reference I'm supposed to get?". Ugh. Men I tell ya!
We went to school, and there were no toys there. Booo! All they've gotten in so far is general office supplies.
my read shelf:
How could school supply shopping be your favorite part of summer? It means summer is OVER. Oh, the humanity. SUMMER SHOULD NEVER END.
I have a student in lab these days. I'm very busy occupying her so will be a bit MIA for awhile. She also likes to look at my computer screen (NO - I HATE THAT) so I can't just flit on and off. Damn students making me work.
::waves:: Hi everyone!!
Joy - my love of office supplies knows no season. I have an obsession.
HI DANNIE!! How are things? How's Ajax?
my read shelf:
Hi LBV! I totally get you on being excited about school supplies. I liked school as a kid, and I always thought it was exciting to get shiny new things - there's something about the possibilities of a new school year that was always fun for me. But then again, I was (and am) a huge nerd!
Ajax is really good, he loves South Carolina so far. He's already made quite a few doggy friends in our neighborhood, and he gets to go to the beach now that the weather is nice. He's still a little unsure about the waves at the ocean, but he's willing to try and he's sooooo excited about any trip, especially one involving water. I kind of can't believe that I now live somewhere where the water is warm, there are good waves, and I can be at the ocean in about 15 minutes. Assuming you don't count the hour it takes to put on sunscreen, get dressed, assemble beach gear, etc, etc.
Life is busy, but good! How about you?
Hiiii Dannie!!!
Glad to hear things are going well!
