**WillyH - Eleanor and Parks spoilers
OMG WHY DID IT JUST END?!
Parks' family - I grew to like them. At first I thought his dad was a jerkface, but when he let Park take Eleanor to her uncle's he made up for it.
Eleanor's family - wow, how can anyone treat other people like that? How can a mother allow her kids to be treated this way?! Unfortunately, it reminded me of my sister and her 2nd husband, so I know it happens. Still makes me sick. I'm glad she got out and in a better situation. I really thought it was Tina writing on her books, never thought it was the step dad... just mind blowing...
I really enjoyed the book!

Re: **WillyH - Eleanor and Parks spoilers
I couldn't believe the ending, and I read the actual book!
I also really liked Park's family. I had a feeling that his dad would come around. Especially because he kept inviting Eleanor to dinner. His mom was probably my favorite character in the book.
Eleanor's family also made me very sad. Her story is heartbreaking and ufortunately very common. I'm sorry it happened to your sister. I hope she is in a better place now. I was shocked when it was her step-dad writing those things. My heart broke all over again when I found out it was him. From the way the book read, for a minute I thought Richie was touching Eleanor and I felt so sick. I'm glad it was cleared up. Not that was he was doing was much better...
I really liked the book too, but the ending surprised me. I expected more. Maybe a sequel?
I guess his dad did show some redeeming qualities when he gave Eleanor an open invite to dinner. Oh I loved his mom too!
My sister did finally leave her ex 4 years ago, but the damage was done. My niece (his daughter) is a hot mess and I think it stems from what she saw for 14 years of her life. So she thinks it's normal for a man to hit her. She finally dumped her abusive BF and got a restraining order on him. I think the only reason my sister left him was because he wanted to kick my nephew out (not his kid) when he turned 16. Heaven forbid there's another male in the house for competition.
Idk if I want a sequel. Was the beginning of the book when he thinks he sees her everywhere between her leaving and the letter... or in the future?! I NEED MORE INFORMATION, but at the same time I made an ending in my head for their future... They get back together after HS.
