if you are a grocery shopper at kroger stores, called fry's in my area, ask your check out person for an application for a VIP card. It's just your generic "we track what you're buying card and in return we give you deals" card like you would get at any grocery store.
once you are in their system, use it every time you check out at the register. kroger offers points for the money you spend and you get 10 cents for every hundered dollars you spend that can be taken off at (in my area) circle k, shell and fry's gas stations. right now they are running a double your points offer, so for every hundred you are now getting 20 cents off at the pump.
now, beyond the normal in-store discounts that you see where the price tag says, 'normal price, vip price', you can also get online deals.
kroger not only accepts the newspaper coupons and such, but has additional coupons on-line. once you log in, you click on the coupons you want added to your card. these coupons are automatically added and automatically come off at the register. you do not need to print, clip nor forget them in your purse.
lately, kroger has been giving away a lot of free stuff. recently i have received a box of betty crocker mac and cheese and a jar of tostitos salsa both for free because of the vip coupons they have on their site.
right now i'm lined up to pick up some free orville pop crunch stuff and a bag of charcoal also for free. i personally don't need the charcoal, but my friend who does is willing to trade for stuff his wife stock piles because she's one of those super couponers like on that show where you ring up 100 dollars and pay 10.
the one posted above is another one of their vip card/on line coupon offers. for a 50 purchase you get 3 dollars off.

Thanks, that does help. I have a Kroger card; before your post, I didn't know that all Kroger cards were "VIP" cards.
How do I get the $3 off?
Sign into their website and check out the coupons available there. The $3 one may not be available anymore since it's been a few days, but you never know.
Am trying to put together a list of other freebie sites and such right now. Am going to try to get a couple girlfriends to add to it too.
