Manic Monday
Morning. Saturday was, well... It wasn't bad but I've been up since 5 am and just to sleepy to get into it. Sunday wasn't bad. It's nice having time to spend with H. We ran a few errands, played games, did laundry and watched some tv. It was nice.
Im off to get ready for work. Hope everyone's weekend lived up to their expectations.
Re: Manic Monday
Friday, DH and I went to eat dinner at a chinese buffet. It was actually pretty good. I think a whole bunch of people had just left, so they were low on food and was cooking more. It was one of the better buffets just because everything was so fresh! We drove around a bit as well - DH replaced his spark plugs in his car, so he wanted to make sure his car was driving right. (It wasn't)
Saturday, I took my car to get it's oil changed and a couple of engine mounts replaced. We've decided to just keep my car and fix it up. As much as I would like a new car - it's pointless to get a new car when my crapalier runs great and looks fantastic for it being 11 years old! That afternoon, I went over to DH's aunt's for a cookout (without DH). His family jokes that I'm not married to DH and that I just adopted their family. DH is usually working when they have cookouts and such...and he almost never comes out when he gets off work. His "excuse" this time was that he needed to figure out why his car wasn't running. (Which he did - had the wrong size spark plugs)
Sunday - I went out to my parents and went to church with them.SIL and niece came over that afternoon and went swimming with me in the neighborhood pool DH joined when he got off work, and then we went out to dinner with them.
All in all a good weekend!
TTC since June 2012
Friday night was my FILs 50th birthday party. It was fine until he got tipsy and referred to me as the fat girl. I thought my husband and MIL were going to both slap him at the same time. Then I just wanted to cry and go home.
Saturday and Sunday I didn't do much of anything. Trying to keep my feet up and relax since I've got some swelling and my blood pressure was up on Thursday. Yesterday my FIL called to apologize and while I know he didn't mean it the way he said it, I'm hormonal and not the most rational person at the moment. I was trying not to cry the entire conversation which just made it more awkward.
I'm not really looking forward to working this week. My feet already hurt this morning and I haven't even been walking around much. But I know I won't be able to sit at home and wait for the baby to show up. I'll go crazy. So working it is!
Friday afternoon I went OOT with my mom for a couple days. We visited my grandma, who just had knee replacement surgery. She's at a rehab facility, and we got to participate in her therapy - we played cornhole. So that was fun. Then we went to my aunts house to help set up for the bridal shower.. and had a little to drink (anyone tried fireball?). I woke up at 1:30 wanting to throw up. Luckily, I didn't and felt okay in the morning.
Saturday was the shower.. and it went well (except for some minor family drama). Then we drove back home.
Yesterday we had DH's company picnic at a baseball game. It was so hot, so we didn't stay very long. Then DH had his softball game, but I didn't go because I didn't feel like sitting in the heat again. After it cooled down that evening, we went for a bike ride.
I'm pretty tired today.. and today is supposed to be the hottest day of the year, and the air conditioning in the office isn't working. It's already over 80 degrees in here, and it's only 9am. This should be fun..

I know! First people complain that it's not warm enough and it's raining too much. Now they are complaning its too hot and they want a little rain for their yards. Although, it seems to always be that way.. They are working on the unit right now, so hopefully they get it fixed. Good luck at the game! Are you on a team now, or just subbing?

Well Friday was that bridal shower. SIL and I went for happy hour which was fun though, and I found out that MIL tol dher she lied to H about ever going to the doctor after the raccoon incient just so he would stop asking her to. So she could be walking around iwth a fractured wrist out of stubbornness. She's awesome.
Saturday we didn't do much, H worked for a little while that night.
Yesterday we went to FIL's for his wife's birthdya party which was alright. Then BIL and SIL came over with their kids and we visisted with them for awhile which was nice. Of course that lead to me getting nothing done and in no condition to ge up early and get to the gym as I had planned. Oh well.
Edit: That's how I feel about the MIL, not you.
My weekend was alright. I was a cranky hormonal mess Friday night so H and I quietly did our own things (H - video games, Me - computer). Saturday H's old roommate and his girlfriend came and stayed the night. I had finally snapped out of my mood by then so we had fun. Sunday we saw Despicable Me 2 and relaxed.
It was a quiet weekend. I need to start planning for the new school year this week. Boo
