Some of you may remember how I met DH. I actually met a close friend of his (we?ll call him J) on match.com and went out with him few times. We got along well, but there was no spark. And on a couple of these dates we went out with a group of J?s friends. This eventually led to me asking DH on a date?and then eventually J was our best man.
Over the past 10 years we have only met a couple of the women he has dated, really just the serious ones. And after having kids it took us a while to get back in the mode to go out for kid-less dinners. About a year ago, we went out to dinner with J and his girlfriend. DH and I liked her a lot, and the four of us had a great time. We made going out a regular thing, up until the point that they got engaged and were too busy with wedding and moving plans. ;-)
J got married this past weekend!
DH was one of his groomsmen and it was a lovely wedding. They did a few things like we did ? things that J had liked about our wedding. I am very happy to see J happy, especially since he played such a pivotal role in the course that my life has taken! I?m looking forward to future dinners with both of them. I just needed to share the story somewhere and it seemed like a bit much for facebook. :-D

Re: A nice story
Everyone's got to love a happy ending! Hooray!
(And it speaks very highly of him that he was willing to remain friends even after his buddy "stole" you.
