QOTD 7/17

What would you do if DH sent flowers to another girl, (not a family member)?

Re: QOTD 7/17

  • I think the only possible okay circumstance would be if there had been a death or a birth in that person's family. But even then, I might be pissed. I don't get flowers as often as I'd like, after all. ;)

This.  It's been 2 years since I've gotten flowers, unless there was some life changing situation (birth or death), I'd be pissed.

  • Agree with the above. But I can tell you, DH isn't thoughtful enough for that, usually. I very rarely get flowers, so I'd be PO'ed if he got them for someone else, unless, as said, it was a death/birth kinda thing.

  • I think it would depend on the reason. H is very thoghtful and would send them to a female friend of ours if they were having a rough time, just trying to cheer them up. Though, there are a few women in his/our life I would not be happy to find out he sent flowers to...

  • They do "war of the roses" on a local radio station in this area.  If a girl suspects her guy of cheating she calls in.  The DJs call pretending to their cell phone company, and say that the suspected cheater won a dozen long stem red roses.  They then ask who they want to send the flowers to.  Most of the time the guy ends up getting busted.  It's really sad, but always entertaining to hear the guy try to save his butt.

As OPs said it would depend entirely on the situation.  If DH bought flowers for his BFF wife having a baby.  Or a friend losing a family member I would have no problem with it.  DH isn't that thoughtful though.  I would be the one sending it anyway lol!

Haha, yes! War of the roses if the only reason I listen to the radio on Monday mornings :)

  • I agree with what everyone else is saying and like others, my H wouldn't do that kind of thing anyway.

I wish we had War of the Roses on our local stations.  That sounds like it would be very entertaining!

  • I would be upset except in the situations like everyone else said.  DH and I would talk about sending flowers to anyone before we did though.

  • DH probably wouldn't send flowers to any one. The last time he sent flowers to someone was his mom for her birthday.

Our local radio station does War of the Roses too...they are always filled with so much DRAMA LOL! At least one time, the guy they called actually asked to send flowers to his wife...that was the only happy ending that I've heard on those!

  • I don't think I'd care. As long as he told me he was doing it. I trust him and know he'd only be doing it for a good reason. Main reason he has to tell me is because I handle our budget/finances.
