Anybody? Cartwheel at Target?

Use it? Like it?

I just discovered it and am making my first shopping trip there tomorrow with the savings.

We do all our grocery shopping there (and Costco) so I plan on saving more money!!!!

Re: Anybody? Cartwheel at Target?

  • Love it! Some cashiers still don't know what it is but we just fill them in and they scan it.  We've been using it for about month or so now and we've save about $16 so far.  We typically load the offers for things we usually buy onto it before we go but after looking Target ad so we can save even more (like adding diet coke rather than pepsi because coke is on sale this week).  The app makes it really nice and easy to add things as you shop and you can stack coupons with it.  The % off applies before manufacture coupons but after Target coupons. I usually only put things on there that we either normally buy or have other coupons for but sometimes we might try a few of the things that give 20 or 25% It's sort of turned into a fun game for my husband and it's really fun seeing $3-5 come off at the end when they scan it.

Good to know. Thanks. I'm planning on using it for regular buys too like you are, but also specialty things. For example, we need to get a large cooler and there is a Cartwheel for one for 15% off! And, that's already on top of the 5% we get with our Red Card!

  • What is the cartwheel?
  • It's a coupon ap specifically for Target stores that gives you anywhere from 5-30% off on a variety of goods store-wide.

If you don't have a smart phone (like me), you can just print the barcodes off the Target website and take them to the cashier at check out.

    It's free to participate in.

  • Crazy, I just was printing coupons from the target website and saw cartwheel on the home page.  I thought to myself "what the heck is that"....then I came on here and you answered it.  I'm so getting it for my phone.

  • That sounds great!  Can it be combined with the 5% off from the Target credit card?

    Yes, I believe so. ROCKIN'!

I am headed out this morning to Target for grocery shopping with my Cartwheel bar codes, so I will report later today on how it went.

Yes, you need Facebook, that is the only stipulation. The idea is that you can "share" your savings with FB friends who are also on Cartwheel.

  • With the Cartwheel I used today, I got 5% off on milk, eggs, tortillas, and Lean Cuisines. I was going to use it to get 15% off a cooler, but I decided to buy a different cooler instead that was larger and didn't apply to the coupon.

Overall, I think it's worth the few minutes to look up items online since some items give more than 5%.

It is also important to note that there seems to be a mixture of coupons for the Target Brands, but also for name brands.

The cashier I had knew exactly what Cartwheel was and had no problems scanning the barcode off my piece of paper.

  • I am going to Target today, and found a bunch of coupons for things I need to get.  Thanks for the I info!   Another reason why I love MM =)
  • I hadn't heard of this before, thanks for making this board. Can't wait to save some money while shopping at my favorite store.

Have you heard of Amazon.com's Subscribe and Save program? You get a discount on basic products, and they ship them (free) to you monthly, so you don't have to reorder. I just heard about it on the TheBump.com and people said it was cheaper than Sam's/Costco with their discount, plus you don't have to go to the store. They mentioned things like soap, detergent, TP, diapers. When I searched in on amazon, it came up with 79,000+ items that count toward it.

Something you may want to check out. May be a money and time saver.

I have not heard of this. Thanks, though! I'm a SAHM, so I actually enjoy getting out to the stores once in awhile without the kids so I'll probably still make my monthly trip to Costco. But, I'm sure other posters here will enjoy this new idea!
