  • I have a couple...

DH goes to bed early because he gets up at like 230am for work so after I got DD asleep last night I woke him up forsome sexy time!

We have been watching cartoons this morning to celebrate DD sleeping all last night and eating again! She  must be feeling better after a very rough week.

  • One of dh's friends is going to Boston with us and sharing our hotel and I'm kind of hoping he meets a girl at the bar so DH and I can have hotel ST. The friend doesn't have to spend the night, just give us a little time...

  • 1. I've had coffee 4 times this week. I wouldn't have made it through the day if I didn't. Hoping to stop again. I was feeling much better without it, but I needed a fix.

    2. I've been feeling ridiculously self-conscious lately. In my heart, I know it isn't true, but my head is fearful that DH won't find me sexy ever again after delivery.

    3. I feel ashamed about #2. :(

  • Penn-#2 is totally normal! All I can say is that you may feel self conscious but you are definitely harder on yourself than your DH will be! I am super self conscious now but it is like DH doesn't see any of it. He also tells me all the time that I make things sound so much worse than they actually are. Be sure to tell your DH if you are feeling self conscious though because then he can help build you up when you are feeling down!

H was cautious and kind of hands off during pregnancy, bc he couldn't get past the fact that there was a baby inside of me. But now, H can't keep his hands off of me. Which is problematic bc we can't do anything about it, and I feel decidedly unsexy with leaky boobs and a baby attached a good portion of the day.

  • We went out for dinner for my birthday last night and TWO employees asked when I'm due.  I'm only 14 weeks 5 days!  I have a personal rule to never ask a woman when she's due even if its clearly obvious. Now I'm all self conscious.

Don't feel bad. A girl I work with told me I had a "cute pregnancy belly" before I even told work I was pregnant. I'm only 13w5d today. This was last Friday.

HUGE pet peeve of mine. You just never know, and I would never want to make another woman feel self-conscious or badly about herself. (I also hate "Wow! Are you sure there is only one baby?!" and "You are just so big!" ...side eye. Being pregnant doesn't give you a license to critique my appearance.)

I am a restaurant manager and one of my servers once asked her table when she was due. The woman stumbled on an answer but didn't seem excited. When they left, her husband asked to speak to the manager because the server's question upset his not pregnant wife so much she couldn't enjoy her meal.

We were with H's family a few weeks ago and all the women in the family touched my belly and told me I had a cute bump. I didn't have the heart to tell them that it wasn't baby and it was just my belly fat.

I do not understand why people say stuff like that.

Way before I was pregnant and I mean WAY before. My mom was having a little get together and I was sitting at the table (tall table) and DH was sitting across from me. My moms husbands sister was sitting in the living room and my back was towards her, so I was turned sideways talking to her and she goes "Wow Bridget, you are getting fat. Are you pregnant?" I laughed and said no and turned my back to her and I started crying my eyes out. (No one found out, only DH) I was so upset and felt like slapping her. My moms husband told her to shut up and to stop saying dumb ***.

She's the type of person to say dumb stuff all the time! When my mom and I went to take her the baby shower invitation, mom and I were sitting in my car waiting for her to come out of work to get the invite, she sat at the door for like 2 minutes just staring at the car and when she finally came out she goes "OMG, I didn't recognize you guys, Bridget looks so fat!!"

Seriously, some people are so rude!

For real, what kind of person actually thinks that doesn't sound offensive out loud? Next time you see her, even if it is at the shower, you should just say, "Oh hi! Nice to see you! You must be doing well! You can tell because you look so fat!" Say it with a completely straight face and smile. It'll blow her mind. Haha. I'm sorry you have to deal with such a crazy bizznitch.

I still feel like slapping her just thinking about it.

  • I'm sorry Madeline that sucks. It may not seem like a big deal to them but I hate it when there are last minute changes especially if I put a bunch of work in to make things happen. Also, I think it is rude for them to leave the dog with you. Kinda like oh hey guys we don't need you anymore because cousin has a look but by the way will you dog sit for us? Don't feel bad for being upset. I know I would be.
