How Spendy was your weekend?
Re: How Spendy was your weekend?
Friday- H worked, friend came over $0
Saturday- H worked, went to mall and bought nothing, Mcdonalds- friend payed $0
Sunday-Parents house- $0
Total- $0 OMG........
Friday- $35 at costco (groceries), $50 on my shampoo/conditioner (I know this is freakishly expensive but my hair looks a hot mess when I try to use something different).
Saturday- $72 (groceries), $23 on flea medicine, $11 on beer for a cookout, also DH went shopping for some clothes, but I am not sure how much he spent..
Sunday- $0
Total: $191, but $130 of that was budgeted for.
My shampoo and conditioner was the only thing we didn't budget for- DH's shopping money is his own to spend, so it doesn't matter how much he spent, as long as he stayed in his "allowance."
Friday - $0
Saturday - $0 (dinner at my parents)
Sunday - $5 ice cream at Sonic, $104 groceries, $24 to see my cousins drag race
Total - $133
Friday - $90 for supplies to reset front brick walkway, ouch.
Saturday - $29 car inspection, visit parents, try not to exert myself in the heat
Sunday - $0, take apart brick walkway and begin resetting it, need more materials, ouch again.
Way too (and unfortunately unexpectedly) spendy! We had unplanned visitors for the weekend, so:
Friday dinner (our treat for all) $108.00
Saturday brunch (same as above) $46.00 - using a gift card to cover some
Sunday lunch - $52.00 for delivery
$206 dollars we didn't plan on spending
Not too bad:
Friday: Went to sporting goods store with DH...he spent $70 on stuff he needed, $11 at grocery on the way home (plus $60 budgeted cash for DH for the week) to make dinner, $5.75 for ice cream en-route.
Saturday: $0. Stayed home all day and cooked.
Sunday: $0. Stayed home again and cooked.
Total: $16.75
I had some making up to do, though, as I went on a little getaway with my best friend earlier in the week that involved the outlet mall...lots of great new work clothes, though!
Friday - Take out dinner $22.00
Saturday - $ 30.00 Lawn mowing
Sunday - Local newspaper $2.00 , Movie with DH & Son & dinner out $ 108.00
Ugh, this weekend was brutal. We had some house repairs that needed taking care of (the torrential rains we've been getting caused our gutters to fall off the house which led us to find out that we have a ton of wood rot to deal with.) Anyways...
Friday: $50 gas, $55 groceries, $35 Pet Store, $15 Hubby went out for drinks with his boss
Saturday: $100 salon (half price through Groupon and my splurge to myself since I never get my hair done), $35 Dinner out with hubby
Sunday: $375 Home Depot for materials to replace the gutters, siding, etc. after it all collapsed Saturday night. We're just glad we had a lot of the tools we needed already otherwise it would have been a lot worse!
Total: $665. Yikes!
This last weekend was really bad because we are getting ready to go out of town for 10 days. We have saved for vacation so at least the next 2 weekends won't come out of our joint account.
Friday - Dinner out - $50
Red Box - $1.30
Saturday - Date Night: Dinner ($40) Movie ($9) Drinks ($6)
Shopping: $20
Sunday - Target: $115
Lowes - $50.82
Total - $292.12
Good and Bad
Friday - $100 (dinner with a couple we haven't got to see since our wedding plus hit the local casino after dinner)
Saturday - Maybe $10, hubby and I were both busy working 2nd jobs all day so that was was beverages during day
Sunday - Well we had planned to go to a local food/art festival to try new food & maybe get some artwork for our house but due to storms on Friday night/Saturday morning spent the day instead ripping up carpet in my parents basement & cleaning floor due to flooding. After dealing with that all day, there was no energy to cook, but did find coupon for $4.00 off pizza. Got that and then also stopped at paint store to get one more gallon of stain for our fence (we ran short by just 1/2 gallon if that. Luckily that was on sale for 40% off.
On the plus side, hubby has cancelled his portable wireless network the he hasn't used in a while saving us $55.00 a month now!!!!
Why did you treat them? Or cook at your own house? No one forced you to go out for every meal.
This was our first weekend with baby home, so there were some unexpected things we needed to make our lives easier. Fortunately everything was budgeted for.
Friday: $718- includes the labor and delivery bill, a bill that finally came from a false alarm earlier in May, Chinese food for dinner, a prescription for DH, and a couple things at Target for baby.
Saturday: $81- DH went for a haircut, and groceries
Sunday: $53 for 6 packs of diapers and 2 packs of wipes at CVS- but got back $40 in rewards bucks, so really it was only $13.
so we had a REALLY expensive weekend, but it was all budgetted for. We had no idea how much labor and delivery would cost us, and there may be more of that, so we have had a 'baby fund' in our budget since we found out we were prego and have been saving ever since.
OMG congrats on your baby!!!!!
Garage sales: $20
Dinner: $33
Gas: $20
Total $ 73
