Hi all! I have been absent for a long time since all of our weddings, so please forgive me but I was just thinking how quickly time has passed and wondering how everyone is doing! It's been nine months, so there should be a few newborns if I remember there were a few pregnant posters! How old is your baby and how much do you love mommy hood?! Also, how many started to ttc right away?? I have baby fever and we hope to start trying in the coming months.
What is new since the wedding planning has left so much more free time on our lives?!
Re: 9 months later
Hi! Welcome back!
No newborn for me yet... but I am due in a little over 4 weeks! We weren't trying to conceive, but weren't doing anything to prevent it from happening, either. We had just started talking about starting to try in the next month or two when I found out I was pregnant.
Welcome back! My baby girl was born on May 11, 2 days after her brother's 2nd birthday. She is 10 weeks old now and I love her to bits! As a mom of 2 little ones I'm pretty busy! Its tough but worth it!! heres the link to my birth story u r interested: http://community.thenest.com/cs/ks/forums/thread/74167223.aspx
This is my chubby princess now:
I started an at home baking business in june for some extra money and though its hard to balance with my babies being with me I love it! Here is my work from my latest order for a baby shower:
Oh my goodness! Thank goodness everything worked out but how terrifying! She is adorable....and you are so talented! The knitted outfits are adorable. I did see your newborn pictures with your dress; they were stunning! I love cake decorating too! That is awesome you are getting paid to do it!!
I'm excited to hear about all the babies!!
i guess I should do a quick update of what has kept me super busy! We went to Thailand for our honeymoon and it felt like that went straight into the holidays. Feb, I took a new job which has kept me on my toes! It has been a great stepping stone and learning experience. It also coincided with my fil having major surgery for bladder and prostate cancer. There were some major problems and he was in icu for much of the next 2 months, followed by a recovery center, and finally home. It was a hard and fast spring. Then May was all about wedding with H and I both being attendants in 2 weddings. That brings me to July, crazy with work and another wedding thrown in the mix! My moh decided to get married in HI this weekend (about 2 months ago) and we are really blessed to be in a position to be able to attend. Yay!!
so hopefully things will slow down soon so we can figure out the next step!
Whoa you had a lot going on! I hope FIL is better now!
I felt the same thing with wedding then jumping into the holidays. H started a new job in January, and really loves it now. It's way better than the one he had in the fall. I feel like we are finally settled with his transition from Army to civilian.
We are talking about TTC in the spring. But everyone needs to keep the baby pictures coming!
Welcome back! I hope your FIL is doing better.
We had started TTC in May, but we have put it back on hold for the moment because I'm going to be having surgery on my TMJ. I can't wait until we can start trying again because I want a baby, like yesterday!
He is doing much better, thank goodness. Thank you all for the well wishes. It was quite remarkable what drs are able to do. We actually knew about the surgery long before; he had started chemo in October and our wedding was his first "off" week in a series of 6. It seems like forever ago! It was a really hard thing go through so early in a marriage but I think it helped my husband to have his wife by his side and made us even stronger.
I love all the others that are ttc....well we aren't exactly at that point, but I July was my first month off bc in like 10 yrs. I'm hoping to cleanse my body of the hormones for a few months before ttc.
Welcome back!! I am glad to hear that your FIL is doing better. It seems that you guys have been pretty busy.
My news is that we are buying a house TODAY!! I still can't believe it. We just have a little bit of work to before we offically move in. We have talked about TTC this fall. Yay!!
Welcome back! You certainly were very busy!
No TTC here...probably not for another few years. I feel like I'm in the minority here, no kids, not TTC, not TTC any time soon LOL!
Welcome back=)
H and I welcomed our little bundle of joy to the world on July 8th, she was only two days late...
Here is a pic=) i am so in love!
Welcome back!! Glad to hear your FIL is doing better and I hope he continues to stay that way
You sound like a busy, busy bee!! I'll gladly go to HI for you if think you've been too busy lately
I'm sure your MOH won't notice the difference...haha
Nic, you aren't the only one!! We're waiting at least 3 more years before TTC. Nowhere near ready for babies!
H started a new job as a civil engineer for our state's dept. of transportation back in June, and he loves it. His second day on the job I got a call saying I got a teaching position! I've been applying like crazy for the past two years and it finally paid off. I was hired for 3rd but have since been moved down to 2nd. I've been working like crazy to get my room ready and have spent the past two days in math training. We officially start back with in-service next Friday
We're in the process of trying to buy a house! We made an offer over the weekend and they countered last night. We have until tomorrow night to figure out our counter. We'll see how it goes!
