3rd Trimester Momma's....

Does anyone else feel like they got run over by a truck? I've been super exhausted the past two days. I go to bed at a very decent time even sometimes take naps after I get off work. I sleep all night (besides a few pee breaks but I immediately fall back to sleep). Ugh. I'm highly debating on taking a day off this week from work to just sleep ALL DAY. It makes for a not productive day at work and me being extremely grumpy.

Also last night I was having some weird pains. Kinda crampy and some lightening crotch not so pleasant. Boo. I'm ready for these next 9 weeks to fly by!

Re: 3rd Trimester Momma's....

  • Sunday I took three naps, went to bed early, slept through the night and still had a hard time getting out of bed Monday morning. I was so tired, in fact, that I forgot to put mascara on...lol

Today I am working partly at home until this evening when I have to go to a meeting, so it's been nice not having to get ready yet. ;)

  • I felt ok until about 35 weeks. Lately it has been very very hard to sleep. I am tired all of the time. I am not able to do things physically, simple things like walking, standing, getting in or out of bed.

The baby's head is constantly in my ribs and I feel like my stomach is in my throat.

It is miserable. I keep reminding myself I was lucky I felt as good as I did as long as I did. I just try to rest and relax when I can.

I have 48 hours right now in my sick time bank ( I don't get paid for maternity leave, we have enough saved up for me to take 10 weeks now in our own money) that I'm debating on starting to just work half days or leave at 2pm. My job is very busy the first two weeks of the month and then it slows way down the last too. Plus in the afternoons there is NOTHING going on hardly ever. So the days that I have looked at on my calendar, I have enough sick time paid to cover me working half days. Now if I can convince my husband and boss :-)

  • I've been working 5-6 hour days instead of 8 hour days for the past month. My job requires me to sit at a desk all day and it was killing my back. Cutting just 2 hours made such a difference. I go in an hour later in the morning and leave an hour early. I can't imagine working 8 hour days right now with the fatigue. Although I probably would've pushed through if I wasn't going to be getting maternity leave. I think I would've regretted cutting my hours now if it was going to take away time from my LO later, but at the same time you need to take care of yourself.

  • Yep that's normal. I worked until 37 weeks, and I stood for 8 hours a day with extreme sciatica.

If you think it's bad at 30 weeks... just you wait. lol

  • I feel your pain! I sleep great at night and then morning comes and i feel exhausted. Seriously, it feels like I got hit by a truck.

I'm ready to get my body back and not be complaining all day about everything anymore. Lol! Don't get me wrong being pregnant is an awesome thing but gosh it sure is hard.

With DS, I felt great from 13ish weeks all the way up to 33.  Then from 33 until I delivered at 37 were rough. I just felt huge and couldn't sleep as well.
