Something strange is going on.....

So about 30 mins ago I started getting this odd sensation, pain, or discomfort ( I don't know what to call it) on my left side. It's in my lower back and wraps around to the front of my pelvis. My uterus has not contracted or anything. It's just on my left side....it's making me nauseous and a little light headed...very uncomfortable. Braxton Hicks or something else??

If it doesn't go away here in about another 30 mins to an hour I'll call my OB.

  • This may be TMI, but in my 3rd tri I sometimes got pangs like that....try and use the bathroom (bm) and see if that helps. It also helped to lay on the side that hurts (left side for you then) and drink some water. Def. call if you are feeling dizzy!

  • I would also say it sounds like it could be BM related.

I've had some RLP and it's always been pretty low and never in my back, but I can't say it wouldn't ever be.

    I hope it's nothing!

  • My BH don't hurt. However sometimes when I have them I get back pain/back spasm. It is sudden instant pain. Laying down helps. A heating pad helps. It can take a couple hours to go away.

I don't know if that's what you are having. It never hurts to call you ob.

I've taken it easy since then...it's still a little "tender" back there. I did have a BM earlier this morning it was actually my first "normal" one I've had in awhile. That could be it or maybe RLP who knows. My poor boss freaked out and she was all don't go into labor yet it's to early. I had her a little scared. I'm feeling ok now, still don't have an appetite and still kinda achy. She told me I could go home and rest but I think I'm going to stick it, only two more hours.
