Re: Yo homes to Bel air

  • I hear ya on the early stuff!! DH started a new office job this week so he's up at 6 everyday. It's nice because he was a 12 hour shift worker and now he's 8-4:30 Monday to Friday. But I hate getting up! I also have my daycare girl 3 days a week at 7:30 and 2 days a week at 9.  And then there is my darling son who has thought sleep is for fools lately. He used to sleep in till 8/9 but I think the commotion of us getting ready wakes him. Our bathroom is right outside his door. I kind of want to get a white noise machine or something. Maybe set up an iPod  in there with one soft song? We have a little giraffe that plays white noise but only for 45 minutes. Boo!

My excitement for today is I finally get to use my double stroller! My sister bought it for me for $20! And we finally got the tired pumped last night. Now of course it's 60f and my girl showed up in shorts and a tank top so we have to  wait for it to warm up a bit. Boo! I can't wait to give the stroller a roll!

  • Hello!
DH goes in at noon for his surgery. Poor guy is starving! He couldn't eat or drink anything after midnight. I don't know why they scheduled him so late in the day!
I have to go scrub his back with antibacterial soap. No joke, he has to shower with it, and he can't reach his back, which is where the surgery is, so I have to scrub it. Some would think this is fun, not me.

I'll probably come home to wait. I don't like hospitals, so sitting in one for 4 hours isn't my idea of a good time.

  • I hope his surgery goes well! I hate waiting! When DH had his surgery to remove his cancerous ball I hated waiting! I was there with his dad and brother! Lots of fun!!

    Praying all  goes well!

  • Aggie - I <3 you for posting those lyrics.  I started busting out the song and DH just kinda looked at me like "you crazy."

jlq - how'd the surgery go?

Echo - how was the stroller?  Was it everything you wanted it to be?

Work was crazy busy.  I got my computer back (again) and apparently I had the Homeland Security virus which was a b*tch to debug.  IT had no idea where it came from...Ooops!  Hopefully it's gone for good.

Hope everyone has a good rest of their day!

  • Surgery went great. The actual surgery only took like 10 minutes. hah!
We waited before hand for almost 4 hours, though, before they took him back. I guess the case before his lasted longer than they thought it would. I just felt so bad for DH since he couldn't eat or drink anything, and they kept offering me drinks. Oh well. He has to rest for tomorrow, then he can go right back to normal.

  • Jlq - glad the surgery went well! I hope he rests well!

E- the stroller did its job and the kids were so good in it. I was fearing Charlie voting or bothering the little girl.
