The 2 credit cards that I have, I have ordered an extra card for my husband. I just had a question about if this affects his credit? I got a new card yesterday and realized it only asks for name and not ss number, so how could it affect his credit?
FYI- I am mostly asking because we are fairly young and are trying to build credit. All our credit is good, no late fees, all paid in full, we just havent had it for that long. I am just trying to decide if my husband should get his own card? He is in school and I work full time so everything is in my name currently.
Re: question about DH on CC
From what I have been told it helps your credit if you are also on someones account but it would help you MUCH more to have your own.I have 4 of my own CC and am a card holder from my aunt.
My mom filed bankruptcy when I was 16 and she got a card under my aunts name to try and help her get her credit back up(also we were unable to afford heat and my aunt was helping with that). Now that it has been 5 years she finally has qualified for her own card and small personal loan and her credit is going up much more quickly now.
