Re: Laundry/utility closet help

  • Depends on what items go in your laundry closet. Are we talking just towel/sheets, or what else?

I am a big fan of the dollar store for organizing containers in all sorts of shapes and sizes. Are you on Pinterest? If not, it will be your new best friend. Tons of organizing ideas you never would have thought of.

I have 3 bathrooms, so I keep my bathroom cleaning supplies in a "tote" type container so it's easy to carry all of the supplies in one container from bathroom to bathroom, rather than trying to juggle everything.

  • I like the rubbermaid shelves.  That way you can put all your detergents up on the shelf in the closet on the side of the washer dryer. Otherwise, you might want a drying rack, and possibly one of those plastic or metal things with 3 or 4 drawers.  Check out the Container store (they have pricy but good closet solutions by Elfa), Bed Bath and Beyond, and I also like shopping on Amazon because I am too lazy to go to the physical store.  You may also want a laundry hamper/ sorter.  Just go to those websites and search and you will find lots of options with pictures.
