Heard Back About Mat Leave
My boss stopped me this morning to tell me that the CEO came to a decision. They are authorizing 6 weeks but with the recommendation of a doctor I can "take as long as is necessary." They are hiring a temp and telling them, "expect 6 weeks, but clear your schedule for longer."
He told me to talk to both of my doctors before the holiday season and see what their recommendation is. I feel that my Ob will give the okay, but that my neurologist will be a little more hesitant because of the constant fluctuation of my medication and risk of seizures. I'll be talking to both of them probably mid-November about all of this unless any complications (FX that they don't!!) arose in between now and then.
There was no mention of them not holding my position for me. I think they are being completely generous and understanding.
I am feeling a little more relaxed today.

I agree! So glad everything came out ok!
I'm pretty relieved. I thought they wrre going to be pretty strict and say, "6 weeksor don't come back." I always prepare myself for the worst outcome possible though. They are such a nice group of people and I would've been sad if I wasn't able to come back
plus, I love what I do.
However, my body is totally rejecting the current medication increase. I feel viciously nauseous, have a horrible headache and want a nap. I can only imagine what's going to happen when we have to do this again. My body already tried twice to throw up today with no success. This is only my second full day of the increase though. I pray this gets better.
