This post seems totally random. I don't feel like that. For my family we are christians that believe there is an after life in heaven. There must be something going on. Are you in a funk?

It is fairly normal to wonder about it at times. But, it's something we will all eventually do - no one is exempt.

I like living and am afraid for my life to eventually end. Also, I fear losing friends and family members. Finally, I am afraid of what afterlife will bring if there is one. I've always had these fears but it seems the older I get the more these thoughts enter my mind.

Have you ever seen a therapist? Over the last few years you've posted some weird *** here on the Nest, and while this can be a good place to ask about issues, it cannot take the place of a licensed therapist.

sometimes the fear of things is actually worse that the reality of things. As someone who had 5 family members pass away in 3 years I have lots of experience in this

LOL. Once you go thru the grief process it's really not that bad as you think. Enjoy the time right at this moment, don't worry about the future.

If you are a christian, then know that with God, what comes next is better than life. If you're not a christian, I recommend attending a church service or revival to help you see the better side of life and death.

Yea, I understand, I think about death sometimes too, especially since my father in law and mother in law died 1 month apart and devastated my husband, made me think of my parents, myself, etc passing away. I actually completed my "Medical Power of Attorney" and other documents then, stuff people don't like to do or think about but are important.
I would like to think there is no heaven or hell, hopefully you close eyes and that's it, sleep peacefully. I am more scared of after life (hell to be exact) being real than actually dying.
