Help! I just started distributing for a direct sales company and I need to get some exposure for my business. I am doing great with people I already know, but I'd like to reach out to nearby communities.
I sell products for a company that manufactures all-natural health supplements and wraps that tighten and tone, if that is of any help. I have a few booth rentals lined up but I would like creative strategies to help spread the word for my business.
Oh, and I already have a Facebook page.
Thanks!
Re: Direct Sales Marketing
Think of businesses (brick & mortar) that are related to your business and ask if you can post flyers or host special events. In your case, it might be asking local gyms to work together. I used to work at a gym and we would occasionally have product representatives set up booths for a weekend in the lobby area, so something along those lines might work if you can find places that will allow it!
"Incentivize" everything you do - offer happy customers something to spread the word, whether it be a special gift for referrals or (I'm sure you already have this) but bonuses for hosting parties. Similarly, you could offer discounts for orders of a certain amount or a loyalty club, etc. Figure out a way to set yourself apart from other sales representatives that sell the same product.
If you haven't already, just start reading books about growing your business. Think of yourself as a small business owner and do whatever you can to keep growing.
Thank you for posting this! I recently starting selling on the side and I am loving this website.
